As a product, Cradlepoint is a robust, well-designed, and well-supported series of devices and services. They make excellent products with varying purposes. They are easy to communicate with, and have a great field and in-house support system. Cradlepoint has a lot of good options, and their product can be used in a wide variety of industries. They really make it hard to want to use any other product.
Sometimes, their strengths are also their weaknesses - in trying to make a product that reaches a wide range of markets and uses, they can also be a little inflexible with their products. Coming from the perspective of a non-traditional Cradlepoint ecosystem user, they would do well to have a wider range of product and service offerings, perhaps even more modular in nature, for some of its more unique customers.
We are entirely cellular-based. They serve as both our router and our connectivity gateway, and are one of the main components of our entire fleet.
Cradlepoint events are always very informative and their devices never fail.
I do not have a dislike the support and devcies are top notch!!
The ability to be mobile and have an interent connection any where make both my work life and home life much more enjoyable.
Their Netcloud portal is very easy to navigate and make setting changes. A semi-novice user would not have any issues with getting their equipment properly setup in this interface.
There are a number of features in the portal that can help you to fine tune your settings to make the device and service as robust and secure as you need it to be.
CradlePoint's tech support is very easy to work with, helpful and extremely knowledgable about their products.
Integration into my network as a secondary wifi service backup was not very difficult.
The router has been frequently used many times at various construction sites within the organization.
All of my interactions with CradlePoint support have been positive and the equipment has been very reliable. Nothing negative to say here.
Their E300 5G cellular router helped to bring wifi to construction sites where there was no service. Now the PM's and other employees are able to use their tablets and make updates to job progress very easily.
NCM, and all the features it provides. Ease of implementaton, ease of use, and ease of integration into any environment.
The ability to enhance a solution via an SDK or container puts it far above its compeditors
The current licensing, and lack of proper visability in NCM around licensing, expiration of, and renewal.
No way to see Advanced licenses avilable in NCM (that I know of)
Connectivity in places that fixed internet cannot reach
Failover and redundancy connectivtiy
Primary connecitivty
Vehcile solutions like tracking and providing in-vechile wi-fi
We utilize the Cradlepint devices with our SD-WAN solution to keep our plants connected during ISP maintenance or outages. The NetCloud managment keeps all our devices in one pain of glass.
We would like to see some additional capabilities in the alerting side of power outage on the network equipment.

They are well constructed and not too hard to get set up. They allow most of the common routing possibilities one would expect. and they just work. Competition in teh telemerty sector I work in are all functional but lock me into thier ecostructure. CP is more configurable in what can be done with them.
I miss the NCP overlay, I know there is a new replacement that does the same thing but I dont know much about because it is too expensive. I had to change to VPN tunnels which work fine but require more IT involvement than NCP did. Every time I move one I have to get IT involved in the Firewall and the IPSEC config and that takes days to schedule.
Remote programming Access and as backup for Radio Telemetry
very flexible software, it can do things beyond what we need.
the cradlepoint manager has gotten very slick and useful in the last few years
sometimes the help files are outdated and refer to older software, with old screenshots.
updating help files with new screenshots would help
we are and electric utitility with many remote locations that don't have fiber or microwave connections. CP fills a void and allows flexibility in placement of control devices.
Standardized kits, compatibility and 5G unified communications.
Antenna shipments have been slow and unreliable.
Unifying networks between each mobile unit and the office location.
Plarform easy to use, trining platform and the ability to deploy sdk apps using python or launch containers on them lets you create whatever you want and provide new solutions.
Some lower end devices or iot ones doesn't have a very powerful CPU and a very short RAM capacity making it only able to run light apps and sometimes you can lead to memory issues
Cradlepoint is making our infrastructure to grow providing our clients top line devices that will be able to set vpns different lans, seggregate ports and manage different VLANS and Local Network

I like the use of the Netcloud to manage multiple Cradlepoints. The Cradlepoints themselves are pretty easy to setup and connect to an Out Of Band switch.
The only hing I don't like about the Cradlepoint is that they don't have a built in SIM tray or an adapter to place the SIM card to be placed in the SIM slot.
The Cradlepoint help us solve an issue with Out Of Band access to our remote site locations. We would have to get remote hands to help manage devices at remote offices.
