What are the best aspects of this product?
There are plenty of things to like about them. But I have some clear favorites. Their APIs are really great. Customer support and professional service has been top notch (so far). And Jive integration is available.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
When you currently have a fragmented operation, a Personal Management model is needed. This is true when dealing with a number of subsidiaries, countries, and line of business. Viewing persona as they take part in varying environment can be done. But it requires heavy labour to carry it all out.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
We're seeking a way to get our users engaged in our communities. The reason is to acquire more content, enhancing our own content making mode, and determining power users/influencers so we can spot and reward them to sustain our community's health.

PROS: I love how it's able to monitor activities and advocate branding. Its targeting functionality and loyalty card customer are excellent. Marketing via e-mail is needed at the hour and properly addressed.
CONS: It would've been nice to have some kind of segmentation level within the filters. It would've been great if they were able to do this while building on dashboards.
I like how often the volume is on our platform.

Drive more revenue into the company. The benefits are retained users and more income.
The site is easy to use and very user friendly
Some of the functionalities of the site have difficulty of use at times. Regression testing does not seem like it is commonly done, as when updates are released it commonly breaks other things.
Work closely with your IT team as you will likely need an internal website to host site widgets and components.

The activity tracking , brand advocacy and targeting features are great along with loyalty card customer . Email marketing is the need of the hour and is correctly addressed.
Some level of segmentation in filters while creating dashboards can be an ideal add on

Persona Management model when you have a fragmented operation (many countries, subsidiaries, line of business). To have a persona view (all up) when they are participating in different environments is doable but labor intensive
Pay for the professional services, they are truly business partners looking to set you for success. not cheap but worth
We are looking to drive user engagement in our communities, get more user generated content, improve our content curation model and identify influencers/power users to recognize and reward them to keep our communities healthy
PROS: Bunchball's people have been great from the beginning. They know plenty and have been a big help. Making use of the control panel is simple. It helped us post challeges efficient on our site and swap out current ones. APIs were really simple to do.
CONS: We had to do some workaround with codes for customizations to fully take effect. We could use some added flexbility within the console. All in all, we were satisfied with how we were able to implement things.
PROS: I am very satisfied with their customer service, they are very responsive, helpful and knowledgeable. Bunchball’s control panel is easy to use. We are able to post challenges to our site quickly and efficiently and even to change the existing ones. The API’s is easy to use, we were allowed to make some customizations if needed.
CONS: In order to customize fully we needed to do some code-work. We could have used it in more flexible ways. All in all, we were very satisfied with the implementation and usage of the product.
PROS: Bunchball interface is easy to learn and use. You can easily integrate its capabilities into other products you use. Its customer service team are always here to support you in your work and they provide helpful lessons/tutorials so you can use the software to its fullest.
CONS: Within this software you can find great features, but you need to customize some things to some level. It takes a bit more work and time to get things work the way you want.
