Avalara Takes the Guesswork Out of Tax Calculation.

What do you like best about Avalara?

Avalara automates tax calculation on our sales quotes and invoices by using the customer's address and location. It takes the guesswork out of creating invoices.

What do you dislike about Avalara?

I find that on rare occasions, the tax calculation doesn't match from one software to another. Rarely, but it does occur.

What problems is Avalara solving and how is that benefiting you?

No problems at the current time.

What do you like best about Avalara?

I really like the ease of using Avalara software, and AvaTax’s correspondence with our software is fantastic, allowing us to file more accurate returns. The initial setup was fairly easy, and the sandbox feature is really useful.

What do you dislike about Avalara?

In our training, I don't feel like our representatives fully understood the taxability of an industrial service contractor.

What problems is Avalara solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Avalara for sales tax filing and compliance, which saves time and ensures accuracy in tax filings. Its ease of use is great, and AvaTax's integration with our software helps produce more accurate returns.

Effortless Multi-State Return Filing in One Place

What do you like best about Avalara?

Returns being filed without having to go into each individual state website.

What do you dislike about Avalara?

There’s no clear bounce back into the ERP with a reason why tax rate was calculated at what rate. We see Colorado or Oklahoma City tax when address is outside of city limits.

What problems is Avalara solving and how is that benefiting you?

Keeping up with all of state returns is huge benefit.

What do you like best about Avalara?

I find Avalara very user-friendly. It's straightforward to navigate the website, and if I encounter any issues, contacting customer service is simple. Additionally, running reports and tracking sales and taxes is easy, which is a great benefit for our accounting department. I also appreciate the ability to save favorite reports on the main page for quicker access, which is especially helpful when pressed for time.

What do you dislike about Avalara?

I would like to learn more about reports regarding determining nexus for state, and at this time I have not done enough research to determine if Avalara provides these reports.

What problems is Avalara solving and how is that benefiting you?

Avalara runs reports and tracks sales and taxes to individual states, making it a great resource for our accounting department.

I like that Avalara is easy to navigate and makes it simple to update customer files and navigate the account online. It’s helpful that Avalara can pull information from our system to submit sales tax reports to several different states, making it easier to handle sales tax issues. Additionally, the initial setup of Avalara was easy from the beginning.

What do you dislike about Avalara?

Communication about how to file for an exemption and how to use the exemption certificate portal has been beneficial.

I use Avalara for sales tax search and reporting, which solves sales tax issues by pulling information from our system to submit reports to different states.
