Tellement une belle application, j'adore!!!!

What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?

I love this application which is easy to handle and very versatile. You can do plenty of projects ranging from book layout to making advertising posters and all kinds of montages (pamphlets, magazines, ebooks). I use it every day for all the projects I work on, because it creates beautiful layouts and I can use it with the images I create in Illustrator.

What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?

Stability, because I often experience bugs and the application closes on its own. Fortunately, the application saves automatically and we don't lose anything.

What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?

The application frequently updates to improve the application, and this is a plus for the application.

Perfect for our catalog and sales sheets needs

What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?

I love that I am able to use it for everything from creating our sales catalog, to a simple sales sheet. I really like the linking feature for images as it makes it easy to make a change to an image, whether it's because the file moved or you just need to update it.

What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?

It isn't super intuative. For someone like me that had never used any kind of software like this, it's been a little hard to learn. Google is my friend. :)

Recommendations to others considering Adobe InDesign?

Great for all kinds of design needs, from digital to print. If you haven't used other design software before, I would recommend some how-to videos.

What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am able to create almost any sales item I need, straight from InDesign. Some of these things, like our annual catalog, would have to be done outside for a lot of money, versus me doing it myself.

Absolute BEST layout software!

What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?

InDesign allows completely flexible type and image layout. Completed work can be made ready for print or web publishing. The layout aspects are my favorite!

I have NO dislikes. I love everything about InDesign.

If you want a multifaceted piece of quality software that interacts perfectly with other Adobe software, you will LOVE InDesign!

All my print layout problems are solved. Since I've worked in this software for nearly a decade I have many shortcuts memorized for speed and ease.

Best editorial design program out there

What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?

The endless tools that make editorial design easier. Like the masters, page numbering, paragraph styles, character styles, the possibility to print a booklet with a simple click and be able to choose a style.

It is also amazing how easy it is to make a package of your files with all the links and fonts it uses.

My experience using Adobe Indesign for 10+ years

What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?

I like the extensive range of features available for automation, organization, editing and publishing anything from flyers to magazines. I can create large documents very quickly with Indesign. I have also integrated in5 in to Indesign and worked extensively with the interactive features to create a digital award-winning interactive college viewbook.

What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?

Indesign has so many features I have yet to use and might seem too complex to new users,

Indesign allows the user to automate their workflow to save time. With it be from text variables to master pages, Indesign makes creating large documents easier for me. I love the layers and links panels for organization purposes and paragraph styles for automation uses. I can create an entire custom workspace and save to use everytime I open Indesign.

Formatting InDesign - The long running, and proven tested standard for document management

What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?

I like that the fact that although there have been some great improvements over time, the general operating of in design has stayed consistent and the gold standard for document management. For an exact "feature" that I use regularly is the "find" feature, where I can use GREP for formatting and styling changes.

What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?

There are no downsides. (well I guess the fact that it is no longer a "purchase" rather it's a membership).

I love using InDesign for my basic design and layout needs. It is perfect for assembling content into publishable pieces, be it a presentation or a flyer.

I've lately been running into lots of bugs, that result in the program crashing or being unable to open. Thank goodness for our company IT guy!

Recommendations to others considering Adobe InDesign?

InDesign is a great program and if you are familiar with other Adobe products it is pretty easy to pick up. However, when we run into issues, we are dependent on the user boards to find solutions, rather than having direct contact with a software support.

What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are often putting together pitches that require lots of images, graphics and text be pulled together from multiple places. Indesign is the IDEAL program for this, it is easy to place, resize, edit and update multiple items. The master pages allow you to easily standardize layouts across the document, preventing unprofessional variations from page to page.

Great for longer documents

What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?

InDesign integrates well with LucidLink and other Adobe programs, and is my main software of choice for longform documents. Like most Adobe programs, there's a learning curve to get used to, but beyond that it's pretty easy to use. I use it daily at work as a graphic designer.

What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?

Larger documents are slow to load, and you're locked into an Adobe subscription
