Throughout my position, working with Optimizely Content Management System closely, its outstanding flexibility took the core focus that I appreciate. Content managers like us need UX to be engaging for our audiences and the software allows us to customize how audience can interacts with product easily. It is quite beneficial to have a workflow tool that provides necessary oversight and approval processes as provided by Optimizely as a CMS administrator. It makes our operations more efficient and facilitates effective implementation of content.
Nevertheless, I must remark that complexity with Optimizely can be a challenge sometimes, especially in supporting our testers. Sometimes, when updates made on a website are released, the same are found to have interfered with already existing tests and thus giving rise to some remakes.
We have managed solve some of our operational challenges by virtue of Optimizely CMS. It shortens our response time, so that were able to deliver content more effectively.
I like that everything needed is all in one place: review/edit licensed articles, original articles, publishing, pitch requests, stock photos and more.
I liked the prior interface better but I'm sure Ill get used to the new upgrade.
I can now create, review and publish a variety of content all from one dashboard. This saves us time and money, and increases our publishing bandwidth.
Stakeholders are able to easily fill out pre-designed briefs at the beginning of a project, attach any requirements or content, and our demand gen team can ask questions, ask for additional documentation and can then accept a project and kick it off. As projects morph, so too can this project brief. Really helps with keeping projects organized and inclusive.
Before their latest update, it was hard for me to find projects. That is less of an issue now that there is a new "home" for our team.
Based on how I use NewsCred, I highly recommend that you take the time to create briefs that can be filled out that ask the questions that help you assess a project for scope, asset needs, and audiences. Also, make sure that you train your users - at all levels, and encourage teams to buy in and use the tool.
We needed a way for stakeholders to brief the team on projects and then have sign-off by the functional teams. By having these stakeholders post briefs, we can figure out scope, ask questions, look at bandwidth required and then approve and kick-off. Plus now it tracks projects in one place.
I love that the platform is always coming out with new features and reaches out to their customers to either test or inform them on the latest tech. I also like working with the NewsCred team and have had really great business relationships over the years. I feel valued as a client.
I missed having the annual conference where they talking about the platform and brought guest speakers, I would like to see something like that again.
We have solved quite a few problems, but most notable is the calendar feature where I can see what is being worked on and how much content is being produced at any given time. We didn't have that seamless operation before Newscred came into our lives. I also love how easy it is to collaborate with team members.
How the team around a business unit: account executive, global copywriter, local copywriter, graphic designer, etc. is involved in each content piece. The coordination and the bidirectional communication with them is the best.
Also the global library and all the tool around the creation of content.

Connect all business units of our global brand to have the same brand image and the same visual elements shared. Also to carry out a global content strategy and local campaigns with similar messages and visuals.

The IA powered CMP tools helped me to create content more quickly and effeciently . These tools are able to produce content ideas , produce content automatically and optimize content search enginer.
The CMP provides in depth analytics on the effectiveness of content including the quantity of views , the avg reading time and origin of visitors, with the aid of this knowledge , future content marketing campaigns can be made more succesfull.
Through its workflow management tools , I can keep an eye on the creation of content and ensure that it is finished on time and to the necessary standards.
I would advice enhancing the filter sections because there are currently limited number of filters to apply.
The application only provide a limited number of formatting options for the content.
Despite the positive reputation Optimizely CMP, I would like that they should work on providing excellent customer service, I have occasionally broached the subject of unreasonably protracted wait times.
I can produce content at the CMP more qucikly and efficientlly due to its AI integrated features, which gives me more time to work on other things like adding new features and fixing bugs.
I find it simple to collaborate on content with other team members with the help of its work flow management tools and commenting system.
I'am comparing various iteractions of landing pages using the CMP's A/B testing feature to see which converts better.
A content delivery netwrok CDN is used by the CMP to deliver content more quickly and effectively.

The product it extremely good but it is expensive for us.

I appreciate the workflows that allow for customization and substeps or concurrent steps. It's easy for me to quickly identify what I need to act on. I love that you can add a brief as a visual reference next to the workflow.
Sometimes it's challenging to find where a comment thread begins and ends, and it's not intuitive where to reply.
Documentation of tasks and decisions made around a project, and the contributors involved. Analyzing time to market for each project and average across all, and was able to see where the bottlenecks were.
