Absolute gem; device agnostic

I have been using the TOGGL time recording tool on my iPhone, Win PC and pretty much any device at my client locations for over 7 years. I am a sole trader providing professional services, so I log my time for use in my invoicing and also for professional development records. I keep it pretty simple...one project represents one client and then any infinite "What have you done" time entries. I track by blocks of 0.25 hours --- although TOGGL is limitless/ambivalent as to what time units are used.
At the end of a month, I run a Detailed Report for the nominated start/end dates and download as a CSV. I then use a spreadsheet tool to import that CSV to sort, subtotal and review time entries.
I use TOGGL on my iPhone app as well as through any browser on any platform.
I do not understand why TOGGL receives such bad reviews on this site.

Best time tracker on the market. Five bucks is very friendly price for this service. It has very good UX, nice design and a lot of extra feature with extensions. I love that mobile app too, because I forgot to turn the tracking off I can stop that on my smartphone underway.

Nothing, really. The free plan is limited, but it still has everything you need for basic tracking.

I need to know how much time I spend on tasks so I can send detailed invoices to clients, and Toggl Track makes this possible--down to the last second!

"Simple Time Tracking App that simplifies Time Management"

What do you like best about Toggl Track?

Toggl makes it extremely easy for me to track time spent on various tasks/projects/clients. After trying Toggl for myself, I finally understand why they're so popular.In comparing several time-tracking tools, Toggl ended up being the clear winner. Toggl has an interface that looks nice and is user-friendly.

What do you dislike about Toggl Track?

I can't use it without having the Internet On. (will be a great idea to have an option to track the time spent on your laptop and when you have the wifi available again to sync the time)

There are a few bugs here and there with Toggl when switching between workspaces, but they haven't deterred me from using the product.

The best free tracker I've used.

I've been using the free version daily for about a year and it's fantastic.

I remember trying multiple trackers throughout October last year but kept coming back to Toggl.

Right now I'm simply using it for multiple projects and multiple clients, and using Ctrl+Shift+T as the keyboard shortcut to toggle the timer on/off and that's about it.

Initially I wanted to integrate it with Trello but decided to keep it simple. With Trello I can't recall exactly how it performed, but it definitely was easier to use it than some competitors. I think this is one of the reasons I stuck with it.

What do you like best about Toggl Track?

I like how easy it is to track my time, set up projects and clients, and specifically track within each of those confines. This makes tracking time for my business and my clients much, much easier!

What do you dislike about Toggl Track?

The only thing I dislike really is not being able to add details for clients. Also, I do with that there was a better way to be notified if you aren't tracking your time at the moment.

What problems is Toggl Track solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's solving the issue that I've been going through for years of having time blindness and now knowing how long I actually am spending on different aspects of my business.

it's not something I dislike so much as something I would expect: I'd like to have an additional feature where I can say via voice command "enter a time entry from hours to hours on customer x for project y" so I don't have to enter it manually

This time tracker has a great interface that is easy to use. You can switch between a task timer and time entry mode. App integration is real-time.
