The design interface is extremely easy to use. I'm able to complete design products very quickly and efficiently.
The material library of pre-built products could be more expansive
Sketchup helps make communication between designer and client much more clear and much faster
The ease of use for a beginner to start a project I love all the features and if I don't have time to build an item there is a great warehouse of items for people to use.
Nothing is missing I can design my ideas fairly quickly to convey my idea for a project.
Landscaping and traffic flow on a property to see the best way to move large crowds around a venue
One of the best and easy software to Design your Dream Home or Anything in 3D Realistic Modelling and sketching .
Very High Premium, Graphics Requirment is too high
It helps in time management for Rendering the Model andeasy sketching
Easy to learn, intuitive 3D functions, excellent connections between the 2D Layout and the 3D SketchUp models. I create all of the architectural drawings, and permit drawings for homes and buildings with this program.
It does not have the complex functions of a more powerfull program, such as ArchiCad, but for smaller projects, without the need for multiple workers coordinating, it is just right.
The program is constantly being updated.
Easy to learn, Fast to work with, lots of features, sketchy styles! Great software for quick sketches and modeling.
Sometimes it is easy to miss the surface, and model inaccurately
It is a great tool for fast modeling, which is helpful in early stages of design
It's user friendly , it's easy ,fast and doesn't take you into the complex 3d geometry thing. just pick the pencil and start drawing , push and pul the drawings to make them 3d objects.
how the recent sketchup versions deal with imported dwg models
how it's always the first software that's suported by any rendering software , even if there is a new software it targets sketchup as the first software to be compatible with
i was only limited on what i could imagine. not locked into someone elses template or design. the vr features were key as well for communication of the project details.
there was a learning curve of about 3 full days before i could use it. even after that i had to learn all the keyboard commands to be effecient.
it allowed me to design and show people that design. I was then able to get dementions for rough estimates on materials.
I like Skecth-Up because it helps me a lot when it come to quick modelling and presentation.
I dislike Sketch-Up becuse there is no Building Information on the Model itself.
When i need to do a quick modelling and presentation it helps me to finish the project quickly.
It is a very user-friendly product. It's great for sending scaled drawings for my clients and layouts for basement remodels.
I can't really think of anything bad to say.
I get accurate material takeoffs for every model I make. Easy to share with my clients.

The youtube references and intuitive interface work well with the highly accurate and infinitely detailed drawing tools. Within a week I was able to work productively by simply practicing on active projects.
I also love that there are loads of you tube tutorials that allow me to grow more rapidly since I use this for personal and volunteer applications not for financial gain.
There are some non-native interactions with other cad programs and a few interface differences from the 2d cad programs I have used in the past. A few things I used heavily require searching for alternate means to accomplish.
Sketch has a youtube channel of varying degrees of skill lessons. Start there. Watch some of the "Live" modeling instances of small projects. You can learn by watching others in their work process. Later you will not need to break habits when you learn new simpler methods.
I measure complicated roofs. I am designing a house and other remodel projects. In all of these there is geometry challenges where simple square measurements don't give me the needed answers to questions about how to accomplish the jobs.
Sketchup allows me to fill in the missing information.
