Simplenote keeps my mind organized and keeps–up with me.

What do you like best about Simplenote?Surprisingly it has a simple interface ideal for quickly capturing my meeting notes, urgent ideas and to–dos; it gives me access to my notes from any device and instantly manages the synchronization and backup of my data. The search engine is very efficient for finding any note no matter how old it is and it also allows me to share a specific note via a specific link.What do you dislike about Simplenote?While Simplenote is great for general notes I have reservations about storing sensitive documentation on the platform because I'm not absolutely clear about its level of encryption.What problems is Simplenote solving and how is that benefiting you?Simplenote gives me a quick and easy way to add notes during meetings as well as record ideas or tasks that come up during the course of the day. This allows me to better capture and organize my information, keep accurate visualization of my pending tasks and organize to–do lists with easy progress tracking.

Trusty and straightforward note app for Mac

What do you like best about Simplenote?Simple, constrained interface and tools. Easy to focus on writing the essentials, IMO. Notes and tasks list. A close second is the published pages to share notes with anyone on the web.What do you dislike about Simplenote?It's not a dealbreaker, but organizing notes in groups could be helpful.Recommendations to others considering Simplenote?Can use Markdown but doesn't feel geeky, so maybe it doesn't appeal to the power users, but the simplicity is what appeals to me. It also has collaboration features, which are easy to implement but not overly robust ... perhaps keeping with the "simple" theme :)What problems is Simplenote solving and how is that benefiting you?Generally, as the work workday goes on, I need to jot down many things. Passwords, workflow stuff to remember down the road, important webpages/tools/etc that I want to stash for later recall. Reminders and task lists (for the day or the week). Planning a project or even a family event. Once you tag your notes well-enough, it's easy to recall, consistent with the phone app and speedy. I've tried many tools for this stuff and Simplenote quickly became a habit that's latested.

"Exceptional lightweight, platform agnostic notepad."

What do you like best about Simplenote?

I like that it uses Markdown, which is more convenient than Rich Text for me as a developer.

The interface for desktop and mobile is very minimalist and focused.

I can easily hide the sidebars to create a very focused writing environment. The whole experience is clean, intuitive, and minimalist.

I also like that it's an open-source project managed by the team behind Wordpress.

What do you dislike about Simplenote?

It's not something I dislike, per se, but the only way to organize things is by tagging them. There is no hierarchical organization, or archiving of notes. I use this constraint to review and clean up my notes, so it's more of a feature for me, but know that if you want to store notes long-term you will need to copy them elsewhere. This is more of a daily driver.

What problems is Simplenote solving and how is that benefiting you?

I need a super lightweight app that I can scratchpad on throughout my day, including in meetings.

I need daily notes and task lists to be synced between devices in real-time.

Simplenote accomplishes these perfectly.

What do you like best about Simplenote?

For basic note-taking and note-keeping Simplenote is a free and easy choice. It offers a very straightforward layout that allows you to generate and title noted to keep track of anything from grocery lists to meeting talking points and more. There is a collaboration feature and cross-platform compatibility to make it user-friendly in a variety of settings.

What do you dislike about Simplenote?

The main con with Simplenote is just that. There isn't as much customizability -- as font choices and colors and such are limited and don't offer as much pizzaz as you might like -- and it also only supports text notes -- so no photos or graphs here.

It's free and easy so give it a test drive!

It helps you to keep lists, ideas and notes organized and in one place, and offers the ability to share those with others. it's also Mac-friendly, so the iPhone application makes it convenient and easy to use on the go or in meetings.

when a note is edited, it pops to the top. some notes are put in a certain order and then the notes get out of order. or if one is accidentally edited, it seems like more is edited when there was no edit actually.

What do you like best about Simplenote?

Simplenote is a way to create simple but more secure, allows you to have a place online where to store all kinds of basic notes, works perfect to save time and not have to go through a long editing process to get a quick note, this tool can be used for free. Inside the company is a recommended option because you will not have to deal with so many options and you can get straight to the point.

What do you dislike about Simplenote?

I didn't really find any problem in this application, it meets what I needed and is perfect for the type of company I manage, works well and is not at all difficult to use.

I recommend this tool for any user, for companies, or people who want to have a safe place to have notes, without having to be keeping it on your desk, is also a way to have them more organized.

What problems is Simplenote solving and how is that benefiting you?

Within the company is used to store information quickly, is a simple way to have everything organized, without having to edit much or wait for the application to open, is a way not to waste time and be able to invest in other things within the company. With this tool you can easily share notes with any employee.
