Shop-Ware makes it easy to view and understand the workflow in your shop at any time and from any place. No longer do we have to be on-site to know what's happening in our shop in real time. It's a game-changer.
The only down-side for our business specifically is that Shop-Ware's built-in labor guide is motor. Motor is incomplete for Euro cars and Sprinter vans. However, you can integrate your Mitchell1 Pro-Demand easily, and that has resolved this complaint from our team.

Our business profits have increased significantly in the 2 years of using Shop-Ware.
Shop-Ware is browser-based, so I can access it anywhere! This is super helpful so that I can check the status of things even if I'm out of the office at an appointment or even taking the day to work from home. I don't need to feel guilty about taking a day off of work or even a week for vacation when I know I can check in and help out if needed.
It seems like every time an update is pushed out, the system crashes the next day or there are other features that stop working because a new update was pushed out. This is very frustrating!
Shop-Ware is helping us save the planet! We are essentially 100% paperless after switching to Shop-Ware. We are able to do everything with the use of a desktop computer, laptop, cell phone, or tablet. We no longer have to worry about keeping the technician's paper work orders in the correct orders in racks in the shop because we can switch things up with a simple "click and drag!"
#1 has got to be the support! They are super responsive on issues we've had; they also are continuously updating their product, based on users feedback.
The digital inspection component is not as comprehensive as some competitors. This works out mostly as a positive still for us, though, as it is simple to use.
When looking for a repair order/pos system I was considering two parts - 1. The system to invoice customers through and 2. A digital inspection piece of software. Combining these two can be tricky and is ultimately the reason we chose Shop-ware, as these two products are in 1. Much easier to manage in my opinion!

There's not much to dislike. I don't have accounting integration available for my version and lack of a built in CRM to set reminders for service dates. Those are the only major complaints.
I no longer have to transfer technician's notes to present to the customer. this is a major time saver for me. Repair orders are easier to build out once the parts database is populated and the picture and video evidence makes selling repairs a lot easier to customers

Digital everything, no paper waste! Ease of use and navigation. The customer friendly aspect with the digital texts/emails make it easy to share transparent information!
No way to close specific job lines for flat rate technicians. Would like to be able to communicate with each member of the staff without having to "send" jobs back and forth with notes.
Customers love the text/email feature. Being able to see notes/repairs orders in real time. It keeps me available to answer incoming calls for more business.
