The new app is expensive,but has a deep selection that is at least as good as Audible. Most of the people whinning here would never be satisfied anyway.I wonder who actually has time to read more than 2-3 books a month. Another great benefit of the expanded selection is that you can sometimes sample an entire hour of an audiobook before unlocking. Some have said switching from a Legacy subscription means you'll lose you prior library entirely.That doesnt seem to be the case,because most of my prior listens or reads now say unlocked. This isn't Audible and even with Audible your are effectively paying for a perpetual rental. It does cost more,but my 200 paid books can even be listened to after unsubscribing. Do yourself a favor and try this for a month and once they again establish a yearly subscription I'm all again for as long as possible. Thanks for a great app that has taught me so many great things and many books I liked so much I re-read them 10 years later. Your the best and Audible is now mostly good for taking advantage of it's introductory offers only.

I resumed my subscription a couple of days ago ( Nov 7th ). Money payed, gone from my account ( I have also the receipt on their name ), but the subscription hasn't been resumed ( same red banner with "Your subscription expired" ).

I reached out the AI robot in the live chat. Useless, of course. I requested to talk to a normal person. The AI said it will create a ticket in order for humans to focus their attention on me. Yep, I received an email, but with a standard text, without the ticket number.

After about three days ( yesterday ) I engaged the useless AI one more time. Same story, same standard email without the ticket number. Nobody with a human behavior ever focused on me from their side.

So basically they charged me automatically without offering the service for which I has been charged. In my agenda, this is the textbook definition of SCAM!

Stay away from them, you don't want to be also scammed. Scamming me it's enough!

Yep, you replied very nice, but what you ignore ( with or without good will ) is that the informations requested by you are already there. I filled the first ticket #6636882 in 07-11 ( closed by you without any resolution ) and second ticket #6642765 in 10-11. The email can be easily seen in the account info associated with the requests, and also I attached the payment statement in the second ticket. So yeah, you replied nicely, but without backing it up with the corresponding actions. My conclusion stays the same for now ....

Update 25-11-2025 after resolution from scribd - 5 stars:
I can confirm that the ( human ) support team has explained to me that there was a gap in the payment processing and also solved my ticket by returning back the failed payment. So I felt that there is a human presence there which cares about my problems. Even if I'm keen in highlighting the bad aspects, I'm also keen in rewarding the real good work. I relaunched my sub with scribd as I find their service useful for me. I also updated the rating of this review.

Found my college book for FREE, I just uploaded 6 or so academic docs and I didn't even have to put down any card info. Thank you yall!! Saved me $90 bucks

A number of my textbooks were stolen from our P.O. parcel box just days before I needed them for grad school. The book I needed most was backordered and could be found nowhere... except on Sribd. I began a 30 day free trial and began reading immediately. The platform was a life saver.

I found a double charge for 3 months on my bank statement. Within 48 hours they helped me identify the accounts, discovered them to be fraudulent, closed the accounts and had all my money back in my account. Thanks team!

I am in love with this app! It is not for everyone, though... I mean, we can't all be Spiderman ["with great power comes great responsibilty"]. So, before anybody goes and hates on the only outlet I have to learn, laugh and feel connected with this everchanging world that's becoming an evolving disappointment, please realize that just because we can't all be Spiderman doesn't mean that we don't need one, either.

Scribd is the most complete provider of anything: Audiobooks, Books, Podcasts, Documents... I am signed up for forever now and wouldn't want to be without it. Best app in my opinion - there is also no maximal usage or anything as is with other providers.

Irrespective of what other reviews state about the platform itself, I wanted a refund on my order.

Their automated support bot had the money in my account within 2 minutes of me clicking 'Get Support' on their page, and there was no request for justification.

I play keyboard and find this site excellent for playing music on my tablet from your huge range of sheet music and music books. Don't need to buy a music book again expecially when I have to buy a whole book for one piece of music I want. Well pleased with this app pages turn quick which is great when playing and you can save all the books you look at.
