Beginner Friendly AI tool for Art&Image creation
What do you like best about OpenArt?
OpenArt can be a trusted tool for producing professional as well as industry-standard Images and Art very easily. Editing Photos and Creating graphic designs can be a piece of cake with this tool.
What do you dislike about OpenArt?
Sometimes being an AI tool this can produce Images/Graphics according to the input provided which can be different as per the requirement of the User.
What problems is OpenArt solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can create graphic art and edit those images which takes plenty of time, so this tool is helping me to save more time and I can focus on my productivity elsewhere.

Easy to use AI art/image creation tool!
What do you like best about OpenArt?
For most people (who didn't study it), photo editing or graphic design work can be daunting. OpenArt is a very intuitive tool that allows those trained and untrained in editing/graphic work to produce professional and high quality images with ease. Coming from a graphic background but being out of the loop for over a decade, this was a great segway back into it for me.
What do you dislike about OpenArt?
As with most AI tools, some generative content isn't as ideal or does not mesh well with the image on the first try or two, but once you get a better feel for the app, it seems to improve in this regard.
What problems is OpenArt solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helped me to quickly create graphic art or manipulate and edit photos that would otherwise take several hours, but instead only took a handful of minutes.

The first picture i generated was not what I wanted but quality wise, not bad at all
I was expecting something really really bad, so maybe I rate this too high, but since my favourite picture generating AI WomboDreamAI (it made mistakes, hilarious ones, but plenty of stuff I was able to use and to edit into something decent) disappeared I’m looking for something new.

I only keep coming across picture generation AIs that are on Discord, no thanks, I just want one single one. I don’t care it I have to watch some ads, fine. If I come across an amazing one that I can try out for free, and I can afford it, I will buy it.

So now you know how I look at these things, here is my verdict:

It created some decent looking pictures for me, which I was surprised about. Obviously one time a person had 6 fingers but that can be edited. Oh and one time a person was turned into a twin but that was my own fault. The character I was creating has silver hair in the book, unfortunately silver hair meant he became an old man with beard, yet with young hands and feet, the clothes looks fine, the environment looked fine. But this is a site that has existed for a while, Wombo evolved faster than this site.

Another thing, if you have an imagine that is near perfect but OpenArt will just refuse this one change! Infuriating!

Asked the character to look towards the camera but not change anything else, there was new scenery!

Oh and one try resulted in a scary Sauron-esque face! Not what I was expecting.

It also refuses other tiny requests, hair length, to use the reference picture properly, nope, OpenArt keeps the character looking into a different direction than what was given.

OpenArt AI has been very helpful
OpenArt AI has been very helpful. But from one second to the other, free offer was gone. The free was also very limited, but usable during a period of time. So they promised FREE, because it was trained on other works as "fair use", that's fair, I'm an artist too. But "free" soon became "somewhat free", and the model free to use shrunk to 1 model, and after this, there were practically the bare minimum left. Now it's not free at all anymore. So "fair use" is only good for OpenArt AI, who's not considering recession and that people can't afford more than bare minimum. Better to do a deal with the user - if you earn, then I want in! I'd think that would be fair use for all!

I discovered Openart AI at the…beginning of 2024 through Google images
I discovered Openart AI at the beginning of the year and was having a lot of fun with it so I decided to sign up for a year's worth to use different models and even animate my creations. About two months into it I got a nasty email saying they had closed my account because the algorithm had picked up that I was making indecent images of minors which I definitely wasn't if I was creating models of young people I specified in the prompt box that they had to be aged 18 - 25 but the prompt box often ignored my prompts and gave me what I never asked for but I'll get to that later in the review so as a consequence they decided to close down my account and deleted all of my images, plus I could not appeal either nor would they refund me for the rest of the year. I was quite upset and angry, I didn't use them for a while then I returned to the free version where you only had 50 free goes a day ( It's since been changed to only 20 now but I'll get to that later. I decided to create another Gmail account so I could start using it again which wasn't as good as having a myriad of models to choose from and over 1500 goes a month because on the free plan, you are pretty limited to how many models you can use and if it keeps on ignoring your prompts which it is pretty good at doing and if you are unlucky enough for it to ignore every single one and spits out crap you have a wasted day's credits and it's very frustrating. June 2024 you can no longer have 50 free credits a day and it is now only 20, What bloody cheapskates they are for doing this, If they had to cut it down they should've gone with 30 or even 25 because that's half. I hope that many other AI art generator sites come along in the coming years and that openart ai are pushed under and are history because they clearly do not know how to treat their customers.

Cancel Subscription
I’m very disappointed with OpenArt. I attempted to cancel my subscription days before the renewal date, but the cancellation option was deliberately hidden — not on the website, not in my account, only buried in an email header, and even that didn’t actually cancel the plan.

There is no "Cancel" button on the site, and no way to manage the subscription through Stripe, unless you received a specific email link — which I never got.

As a result, I was charged again on July 9th, despite my intention to cancel. I contacted support and still haven’t received any confirmation or solution.

This kind of dark pattern behavior is unacceptable. I’m willing to pay for the current month, but I expect the subscription to be cancelled as of August 9th and no further charges to be made.

If you value transparency, I would not recommend OpenArt.

What a piece of junk!
I have no idea how to run this. In addition to a broken Wiki link, all you did was toss me into the deep end of the pool.

I wanted to create an image of my fiance, but I have to "create a character" first. Why do I have to do this? Why am I creating a "character" ? What is a "character" ? I don't even know how to create a "character" let alone why I'm doing it. And evidently I have to do this regardless of whether I want to or not because this "character" (or whatever the hell it is) is going to be used in pictures or videos or whatever the hell else your software can do.

I don't know how to use Discord so I can't use it to connect to the community to ask questions. When I go into the app I'm presented with a huge confusion of options: create a character, create a movie, create something, yet there is no instruction on how to do it. Try improving your user interface so that someone is new to AI can actually use your product. I can't and I'm not going to spend days fumbling through your menus to try and find a way to do whatever the hell it is I'm supposed to do.

Seem to cheat you into rebilling
I used this a lot for a month, it has clear limitations like people with seven fingers or animals with two heads, unable to cope with text. But with enough credits you could settle on the occasional good one, so I wasn’t too bothered. I needed more credits so I upgraded but I was never going to use it on consecutive months because it’s extremely time consuming. What I hadn’t realised was that by upgrading I had cancelled my previous cancellation, so I was expecting it to stop. It was only six months later I realised I’d been billed ever since, so six months for non usage. I tried to cancel and couldn’t, so emailed them. They’ve told me they have now cancelled but refused to refund my six months when I never logged in. I replied that it was the upgrade which caused confusion and it was unethical to continue charging an account when there’s clearly no login, but they have ignored me. Therefore I can only see this company as overall untrustworthy, and would not recommend them
