What do you like best about Okta?

The UI is very refined, and new users can onboard quickly and get SSO set up. Integrations are seamless.

What do you dislike about Okta?

I wish it were easier to set up and use two-factor authentication. Sometimes we have to do it repeatedly, which gets annoying.

What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?

Okta keeps everything in one place, so I don’t have to remember a lot of passwords. It also feels safe to be under the Okta umbrella and be able to find what I need.

What do you like best about Okta?

We love the flexibility of being able to create MFA policies based on risk and device type. This has helped us improve our conditional access and gives us the ability to control authentication strength based on the login. We have never seen any performance issues that we okta's fault. The integration catalog includes most common applications and the UI is intuitive.

What do you dislike about Okta?

The thing we dislike most is the cost. It often feels like each new feature is treated as an add-on rather than a true enhancement to the core product. We also find the logs difficult to interpret at times; for example, a failed password attempt can show up as a failed MFA, which makes troubleshooting more confusing than it needs to be.

What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?

Okta is our single sign-on provider, and it lets us enforce a consistent MFA process to support our security needs while still keeping the experience easy for our users.

Streamlined Access Management, Slight MFA Hiccups

What do you like best about Okta?

I appreciate how user-friendly Okta is and how it consolidates access by logging into one place. Its security is top-notch and I can easily access it from anywhere. I love that it allows for the addition of integrations and APIs from other systems. This capability speeds up setting up access for hundreds of new hires and managing their access efficiently by adding various applications to the home page and eliminating the need for multiple passwords. The integration also ensures a seamless flow of information for setting up access automatically based on the individual's team or manager. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy and standardized.

What do you dislike about Okta?

I think Okta logs out too quickly, although I know it's for security reasons. Also, I find the multi-factor authentication to another device doesn't work many times and it has to be manually approved by logging into a separate app on another device.

What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Okta as the main authenticator for logging into company systems and managing single sign-on. It centralizes access control, simplifies setup for new hires, enhances security, and integrates with other systems to streamline access management.

The best thing about it is it's really reliable single sign-on capability and has a user-friendly dashboard.

What do you dislike about Okta?

I can't think of any as of the moment. I only have been using it for less than a year. It never had an issue using it so far.

Okta solves the problem of managing multiple fragmented passwords by providing secure single sign-on. This benefits us by streamlining daily application access and improving overall corporate security.
