It brings humor but serious content around cybersecurity
I would like to see more content and they are working on it.
Cybersecurity awareness and training just like the title states they do. I have found users strengthen passwords, paying attention to email structure and lessened my need to interact.
This allows us to up-skill our users and make sure they aren't liable to falling for any scams or spoofed emails that come in. We work with a lot of solicitors so this is vitally important.
The video's could be of better quality and maybe more complex some of the more experienced users find it very straight forward.
It prevents companies from having to send there staff on training and can be done in house.
The videos, albeit corny, effectively convey important information. I think it will extremely helpful for my organization. It is presented in a concise, easy to digest format.
It would be better if there were some scaled options so that the same information wasn’t provided to the Millennial workforce who grew up cautious and wary on the internet and the Baby Boomers who are less fluent.
I am impressed by the content and it’s relevance to my industry.
Trying to prevent phishing and scams. Hopefully we are able to prevent these things from happening and save our IT professional from having to develop his own curriculum.
Modules and security training that you can set as required tasks for your users to complete. It increases the level of security awareness across the enterprise so that users get better educated and informed about different phishing attacks and vulnerabilities.
Videos are usually short and informative.
The level of support could be improved. Recently it seems that everything related to support has been lagging. Customer service is something that Mimecast has to work on, and it is something that needs improvement.
Short security awareness videos and training content greatly help non-technical users. Usually, those videos are short and do not take much time to watch. As a result, users get better informed regarding security shortcomings and vulnerabilities.
The content of the training is short, fun, and informative. It's like a mini sitcom with characters that appear in multiple videos. My users engage well with it.
If there are problems you have to deal with Mimecast support; they are usually pretty good, but recently their response time has been poor. This also links into directory groups stored within Mimecast's backend configuration which isn't very intuitive.
General user awareness of Cyber Security Risks, we also needed training to comply with GDPR and Cyber Essential requirement - Traditional training platform can be long and boring, my users engage well with this
The videos are very informative and keep the user engaged with humour. All users are scored which will report to the IT admin to review, ask for remediation and allow for intervention/further training if a user is considered risky to an organisation. New training videos and further scenarios are added every month to allow for more in depth training.
The videos consist of American actors, it would be good to see some British actors in their to appeal to the UK demographic. It would also be good to have tiered difficulties as the current training covers somewhat basic scenarios.
AT has allowed our business to train users in house on how to avoid phishing and scams, this in turn has saved money on often costly out of house training.
Mimecast awareness training has brought an added layer of conscious surrounding phishing attacks in the work place.
I dislike the actors that are in the videos. I would prefer them to be European actors.
Mimecast awareness training is a fantastic service for people looking to further plug the gap that standard Mimecast cannot fill.
We have utilised this to increase awareness surrounding phishing attacks.
The quality of the content was next to none. The way they can illustrate certain concepts and best practices is fantastic, and it was the thing our company loved most about the platform.
Where do I begin? The customer service was lacking to non-existent. Reporting was very limited to pre-defined filters that offered no granularity. Lastly, there isn't any LDAP integration so SSO was out of the question.
As a best practice, we used this platform to increase our security posture by helping the company users understand the threats we encounter. Mimecast also helped us meet our compliance requirements.
Content is funny and engaging. Characters are the same from video to video so you get to know them.
How pricing is based and implemented. Training modules should not be limited and I shouldn't have to purchase more trainings. Customer service can be very poor as well.
Overall user awareness and performance measured through phishing campaigns. Users seem to like the content. It's funny and engaging.

- The format: The Mimecast Awareness Training is based on short, scenario-based videos with live-action characters. The videos are entertaining and our staff love them.
- The cost: When we first saw the Mimecast quote with Email Security, we couldn't believe our eyes, it's very cost effective.
- Intuitive: When I started using the product, it was easy to set up and configure. The interface looks modern and is intuitive to learn.
- Schedulability: While you can schedule a phishing campaign and videos in advance, there is no option to schedule a campaign on a recurring basis automatically.
- Lack or more advanced level topics: I'd like to see some videos that go over the characteristics that phishing emails contain and the general tactics of a threat actor.
Before we did any training, we sent out a phishing campaign to see where we were at. I wrote an email that looked like our CEO was sharing a file, and it was able to fool 40% of our users. After a year of biweekly Mimecast Awareness Training videos, we are now at an average click rate of 4.5%.
