About DMARCTrust

Deep Dive with Clara AI

DMARCTrust is a DMARC monitoring and email authentication platform that turns the raw XML reports mailbox providers send into a clear picture of who is sending email as your domain. Built by members of the early team behind Mailjet, it automatically ingests and parses both aggregate (RUA) and forensic (RUF) reports in real time, then surfaces pass/fail trends, sending sources, and SPF/DKIM alignment in a single dashboard. Beyond reporting, DMARCTrust helps you move safely from monitoring to enforcement: DNS change monitoring with alerts, authentication-failure spike detection, a built-in SPF flattener, hosted MTA-STS policies, TLS-RPT processing, and free DMARC, SPF, and BIMI record generators. Every account gets a unique token-authenticated reporting address, optional EU or US data residency for GDPR and two-factor authentication. Start free with one domain and no credit card. Starter and Pro plans add more domains, longer report retention, forensic reports, and DNS alerts, with unlimited additional domains and a single shared dashboard, login, and invoice for agencies and MSPs managing email authentication across many client domains.

DMARCTrust FAQs

Why does my business actually need DMARC?

Without DMARC, anyone can drop your domain into the "From" line of an email, and your customers, suppliers, and bank see your name instead of the scammer's. DMARC tells the world's mailbox providers exactly which servers are allowed to send as you, and what to do with everything else: watch it, quarantine it, or reject it outright. The payoff is twofold. Criminals can no longer spoof your exact domain to phish the people who trust you, and your legitimate mail earns the authentication signals that land it in the inbox instead of the spam folder. Since 2024, Gmail and Yahoo also require a DMARC record from anyone sending bulk email to their users, so it has moved quickly from "nice to have" to "non-negotiable."

Isn't DMARC complicated to switch on?

Turning it on is genuinely one DNS record. You publish a short TXT record at _dmarc.yourdomain.com in monitoring mode (p=none), and within 24 to 48 hours reports start flowing in, with zero risk to your existing email, because monitoring mode changes nothing about how your mail is delivered. DMARCTrust hands you the exact record to paste, plus step-by-step guides for registrars like GoDaddy and Cloudflare and platforms like Microsoft 365. The genuinely hard part was never switching DMARC on, it is reading the raw XML reports that come back and knowing when it is safe to tighten the policy toward quarantine and reject. That is the part we automate for you.

Once DMARC is set up, why keep paying for a subscription?

Because DMARC is not a set-it-and-forget-it switch. Your email estate changes constantly. Every new tool you adopt, a CRM, a help desk, a payroll app, a marketing platform, starts sending mail as you, and each one is a new source that has to pass authentication or your real mail begins to fail. Meanwhile DNS records drift, vendors rotate their sending infrastructure, and attackers keep probing for gaps. A subscription keeps you watching: continuous report processing, alerts the moment authentication fails or a DNS record changes, and the history you need to safely reach and hold p=reject, the only policy that actually blocks spoofing. Cancel, and you are flying blind the next time something breaks, which is usually the moment you can least afford it.

I run a dropshipping store. Do I really need DMARC?

Possibly more than most. Dropshippers live and die by transactional email, the order confirmations, shipping updates, and refund notices that hold the customer relationship together, and they usually send it through a stack of third-party apps such as Shopify, an email marketing tool, and a support desk. That is a lot of sending sources to keep honest, and a tempting target: a single spoofed "there is a problem with your order" email from your exact domain can drain customer trust overnight. DMARC shuts down that exact-domain impersonation and, just as importantly, keeps your real order emails out of the spam folder, where a missed confirmation quietly turns into a support ticket or a chargeback. And if you send through Gmail or Yahoo at any real volume, you now need a DMARC record just to reach the inbox at all.

Will DMARC stop every scammer pretending to be my brand?

It stops the most dangerous kind: exact-domain spoofing, where someone forges email from your real domain. Shutting that down removes a huge slice of phishing and business-email-compromise in one move. What DMARC cannot do on its own is block lookalike domains, the yourbrand-support.com and yourbrand.co impersonations, because those are not your domain at all. That is exactly why DMARCTrust pairs enforcement with continuous monitoring: you see every source sending as you, you catch new threats and misconfigurations early, and you can layer on related protections from the same dashboard, such as BIMI to display your logo in the inbox and hosted MTA-STS to enforce encrypted delivery. DMARC is the foundation that makes the rest possible, and we help you build on top of it.
