About Deviceplane

Deviceplane is a management tool that provides an open-source platform for embedded systems and edge computing. The application is designed to make it easier for its users to update, monitor and access their devices securely. With this software, users can deploy confidently and reliably. Moreover, they can gradually and confidently ship updates, test new versions on a subset of devices and roll back when things do not go as expected. Users can gather logs from their devices and store them or optionally forward them to the preferred logging tool. One can access the devices via SSH even when it is not on the same network. The flexible policies of Deviceplane allow users to enable or disable SSH access features from their device for security reasons. The fine-grained roles and policies help to control precisely how devices are to be accessed. Deviceplane comes with an easy-to-use API that makes it easier to interact with the users’ devices programmatically. The agent of the software is a static binary and can be installed in a single command.
