What are the best aspects of this product?
With Deltek Vision, I can open three databases at the same time. One can have timesheets up with projects information and employee data online simultaneously. I do not have to switch apps and log in or out. Furthermore, pulling up the information is very easy. You can also filter data. The information pulled up can have permission restrictions. It helps keep your data safe. Before switching to Vision we have used another program for our database. Good thing that Vision can access them.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
If I can remember correctly, there is a steep learning curve. There are many ways to pull up information and different filters. Adequate training time is required for an individual. So, when first switching to Vision, businesses need to keep this in mind and have training sessions for users.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
We handle different kinds of information relevant to different kinds of roles. There are those for our project manager, head bookkeeper, lead draftsman and more. Having information like these and inheritance, venture area, and project status among others is vital to our organization. With Vision, we can take a look at every single task going on in different locations and in various geographical regions. Project managers use this in solicitations and to monitor installations. Everything is saved in one record database including customer and supplier information.
