It has yielded a great deal of insight on tech funding, employment, unicorns etc Dealroom is easy to use and a great source of insight on VCs, start-up and tech ecosystems

It is easy to navigate, and some of the curated content is interesting. The dataset it draws from appears to be comprehensive and up to the minute. It facilitates speedy analysis.

What do you dislike about DealRoom?

I found it had one or two glitches when filtering data, but other than that, it is hard to fault. The data/report export functions could be a tad more seamless.

Pulling together data on the relative strength/characteristics of different tech ecosystems across Europe.

Great experience all around with Dealroom.

PROS: We have been using Dealroom for due diligence and post-merger integration processes. It was easy to use and support helped us a lot with everything. We are extremely pleased with the service they provide. It's very easy to drag and drop files and set permissions for documents. Their requests functionality is also very useful and helped us track process with a large amount of buyers. Highly recommended!

CONS: More integration options would be good

A Veteran Entrepreneur's View of DealRoom

What do you like best about DealRoom?

Having experience with similar products through different investment bankers over the years, and several homegrown solutions, we have been exceptionally happy with the clean design, ease-of-use, and focus of the DealRoom product. It does this one thing, really well.

What do you dislike about DealRoom?

While there are some reporting features, as well as email updates, some additional reporting capabilities would be welcome. However, this does not deter from the use of the product.

What problems is DealRoom solving and how is that benefiting you?

Just one: consolidating and organizing the voluminous paperwork required for selling our latest company. It's a great way, working with a geographically dispersed team, to bring together all that documentation in a quick and cohesive way.

Outstanding platform for managing the review of a large set of documents

What do you like best about DealRoom?

I really like the flexibility of options and configuration that is afforded by the DealRoom platform. Document-specific permissions can be set, and documented comments back-and-forth are supported. I also appreciated the ability to express relationships between documents (e.g., parent-child and/or parallel relationships).

What do you dislike about DealRoom?

I couldn't easily figure how to display the Assignee(s) tied to any particular request or document.

What problems is DealRoom solving and how is that benefiting you?

We used this platform to increase the efficiency of (quickly) reviewing a large number of documents by a large, multi-functional team in a way that would not have been as organized using more traditional shared drive technologies.

Simple and easy to use

PROS: The ease of use is amazing. In in hour you can get used managing all the vdr features, invite people, set permissions etc. Platform is very intuitive and easy to navigate. Customer support is very helpful. Especially their success manager Julia who helped us to walk through any questions we had.

CONS: Missing Outlook integration

Agile, Dynamic, and Intuitive!

I have been using DealRoom for about five months. In my experiences, it has been effective for everything from daily task management to achieving high-level initiatives. DealRoom is very dynamic and intuitive. I picked up on how everything works surprisingly fast. Although DealRoom is newer to the VDR market, I believe that it is the best and most cost-effective choice!
