This tool is simple, straightforward, and easy to use. You can compare schemas or data using the default settings in three steps, or, if you want more detail, you can adjust the advanced settings. The comparison process is fast—within seconds you get results showing which data or schema is different.

You can also save your own comparison settings instead of using the default settings from Devart; just load your saved settings and click Finish to run the comparison. After the comparison is complete, it shows the different table schemas or the number of data differences from the source server to the target server, and you can choose which tables or data you want to change.

The tool is easy to use, and comparing and synchronizing databases is really simple with it. We use it regularly for database comparison. We are very satisfied with the support as well

There's nothing in particular that I dislike. Perhaps the only thing is that if there are a lot of differences between the databases and the report is saved in HTML, opening the large report can take quite some time.

We mainly use it for comparing the structure of objects between development, testing, and production databases.

I have used the comparator for 13 years, it is by far the best comparator on the market, easy to use, fast, accurate, generates comparison scripts in seconds.

I have no words of dislike for the product

I am a software developer, I have many implementations of our systems with our clients. The main use I give to the "dbForge Compare" is when making updates, I easily obtain the differences in the structures between my client's version and the final version, the comparator also generates the script to match the versions.

dbForge Comparer includes everything you can do with the same tool you can find in Visual Studio or in VSCode, but it's much more faster and much more versatile.

I like:

- the filters to create a set of objects to be deployed

Easy to synchronize data between servers, or backup to local instance.

Not much to dislike, it does the job for what I need.

Deploying databases and synchronizing data

We use dbForge Compare Bundle because synchronizing production schemas with development schemas and the application's ORM is our routine. The tool helps automate the process. It can be called from the command line, which means it easily integrates into the CI pipeline. There were a couple similar solutions in our shortlist, but only dbForge ticks all the boxes and is reasonably priced.
