Our legal department´s once-beloved manual research, now pales in comparison. We no longer need to hire so many contract attorneys to review discovery documents, which is not good for the country´s GDP.

It’s benefiting us by giving our legal department access to cutting-edge AI technology that helps us find the best cases, statutes, and arguments for our legal matters. It’s like having a super-smart co-counsel who works nearly for free and, more importantly, never complains.

Parallel Search allows me to research any topic in real-time and gives me several cases to review instantly.

Parallel search must be improved to reflect dissenting opinions from majority opinions.

It is my understanding that Casetext is addressing the dissenting opinion issue, and that will allow me to increase the speed of my legal research.

Casetext is extremely easy to use and has all the features of the more expensive legal research options at a cost small firms can afford.

I am not a fan of the new layout. I would prefer a return to the old one, it was more user friendly and easier to navigate.

We practice litigation and we absolutely need a legal research tool. This is something we could afford immediately when we opened but we love it so much we have not switched after three years.

Having long been a user of Westlaw, Casetext offers a fast and accurate means of researching cases, with a speed that will shock you if you are used to waiting for the chugging away of prior services. And you are given the option of using to search mechanisms, either key word (bolean) or parallel search.

I miss having access to certain treatises.

It has become my "go to" legal research tool. Quick to launch and very fast searh/retrieval

I love that I can use a statement or a question as my "search" and Casetext provides relevant and accurate results. It's saves me so much time to research particular issues.

I wish I could narrow my search to specific terms in Black's Law Dictionary in Casetext but I haven't been able to figure this out or it isn't possible yet. I'll keep trying.

As a solo practitioner, it is critical I can save time when researching issues. I need my research to be efficient and effective. Casetext delivers. I LOVE that I can upload a pleading and Casetext will complilenall cases cited and I can download all cases at once for my reading pleasure!

The most useful area is the brightness of the scope. You can research any state.

I would like to see more explanatory treatises available

when I need a quick answer to a specific point parallels helps me get to the area I'm questioning

The interface is user friendly, I don't get nickeled and dimed for every search that I do. I love that I can copy parts of cases and drop them directly in my document. I also love that the citation is correct. Customer service is outstanding!

I would love there to be a feature where I could filter by subpart to a regulation within cases. Sometimes, some cases aren't in Casetext -- I can get a subsequent ruling, for example attorneys fees awarded but can't get the original decision. I wish there was an app.

Legal research was by far my biggest firm expense before I got a Casetext. Casetext saves me money every day. It also saves me time - because I can cut and paste from Casetext right into my document, I don't have to spend time taking notes.

Clean and easy to use interface, it gets the job done, search features are available, it shepherdizes good enough (none of the services are A+), and for the price it is a value.

Lack of customization and inability to access briefs from appellate cases as well I would through Westlaw. I think this would be much more valuable than the parallel search feature which is nice but not at an appellate lawyer's level. Each case should have the briefs linked.

Legal research in a timely and efficient manner. Case text gets me what I want without all the bells and whistles that are unnecessary for my small to midsize needs.

Case text is very user friendly and accessible to all levels of user. Even though now have access to Lexis, I prefer to use casetext, it's just easier and effective.

I do sometimes miss the case citation checking features on other platforms. But, Casetext still provides ability to ensure case law is good!
