(21 Ratings) Write Review

Cachefly CDN supports around 40 PoPs. Delivery of massive files is easy and hassle-free using this software. The CDN infrastructure is based on TCP Anycast routing and is the very first to do so worldwide. This software comes with a sub-user account. This CDN software offers its users several suitable and useful features like an instant purge, origin shield, easy origin pull, GZIP compression, statistics and analytics in real-time, shared SSL certificates, custom SSL certificates supports VoD etc. It does not feature HTTP/2 Protocol and RTMP streaming though. Customer service is excellent. Both Email and chat support are offered. It is best for sites with a huge volume of traffic.

"Best CDN in the industry!"

What do you like best?

CacheFly's staff is universally the most friendly and helpful group of folks I've ever worked with. They are also some of the most intelligent people I've found in the network / CDN industry. They have worked with me to build solutions that helped solve a number of scenarios. Most notably is their Image Optimization service that runs along side our image origin to allow for on the fly image changes like size and quality.

What do you dislike?

I wish I had something to share here. Fortunately for CacheFly, I don't. They are all around awesome! Their uptime is stellar, their support team is very responsive, they are very dynamic in adapting to be able to service unique needs, their pricing rates are stellar. I mean I seriously have no problems with them at all!

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you're working with someone like Cloudflare, Fastly or Akamai (the others I personally have experience with), definitely give CacheFly a call. They offer a far superior product at a competitive price. You won't regret it!

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We're utilizing CacheFly primarily for static content delivery and image optimization. This has helped speed up the performance of our services globally and allowed for reduced bandwidth consumption in between CacheFly and the end user. Benefits all around!

"Really a good CDN"

What do you like best?

I am using CacheFly CDN service for many years for our professional blog and other websites. Their origin pull is very good service. The sub user account, real time hits, FTP access, easy setup of origin pull CDN are the features which definitely reasons one should be happy to use. Users can use just FTP credentials in CMS like WordPress to integrate CacheFly CDN - there is no new learning of proprietary API. It is easy and does the job.

What do you dislike?

Cachefly is actually costly CDN. However, options for CDN with good performance is very less particularly when budget is not crossing $50/month. The web GUI is not exactly grade for the cost - it is simply designed for the work.If they had OpenStack Swift backend, it would possibly help the developers more.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you get Cachefly's pay as you go plan, there is nothing to look back than opening an account. They do not change the existing user's plan.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Obviously a CDN intended to serve the static contents as fast as the main dedicated server and decrease the load. Biggest advantages of Cachefly is FTP integration and easy origin pull CDN. Users can easily create a separate sub account for storing the content and separate account to mirror the whole site.
