The Articulate 360 suite offers several tools that make developing and building online learning easy and fun. It also easily integrates with other great media and authoring tools such as Vyond and Camtasia. I use this suite of tools on a frequent basis (for every online course I create), and look forward to each new project where I can challenege the software and my creativity. The support of the Articulate Heroes community is like no other. It provides great ideas and templates to help you get started. Not to mention, they have a substantial on-demand library for all ability levels. I highly recommend giving this a try!
I would love to see it integrate with components such as Google Drive to make pulling assets in a smoother process.
Ease of providing consitent look and feel when creating online learning opportunities as well as the flexibility to build engaging interactive activities to help boost content retention.
Articulate 360 is by far my favorite authoring tool. It's powerful and flexible, there are a lot of templates available, and having a desktop application (Storyline) is a must for me when creating complex learning projects with variables and conditions.
More transitions and visual effects would be nice. When working on large, complex projects, there are occasionally issues when working with styles.
Articulate is my engine for creating blended learning courses, helping me to develop highly engaging, responsive and accessible training for employees and customers.
With focus and patience you can create a huge variety of stuff in Storyline. I'm not so big on Rise, although I'm sure it will have it's uses. Articulate provides a lot of features and ability to bring in programming skills into your creations.
Most - the price and a few of the qwerks with structuring each scene. You need to be careful how you design scenes. It's key to have most of your storyboard worked out prior or you have to jump through lots of hoops to reorder stuff. It's a basic feature that is missing, but with good planning it's not as big an issue.
Articulate 360 is assisting me in the transition of skills from face to face trainer to online trainer/online course content creator. I'm looking forward to seeing how to develop my skills further with this tool and really enjoy using it.
Easy to use, simple layout, organized tools, constant updates, various types of SCORMS, integration with PowerPoint, programmable features, very personalized, various types of interaction and multimedia, image 360º, very efficient review system, it now exports subtitles along with MP4, it now supports background music, which can be controlled with other audios.
The lack of advanced animations and transactions (like recent PowerPoint has) could have additional features, such as a time countdown on the course and further communication with LMS; with more than two intersection triggers co-occurring, the system gets slow and blocked. When having an MP4 in a master slide, the MP4 export doesn't work correctly.
Create personalized e-learning courses with many interactions, multimedia, and great visuals. Direct integration with PowerPoint. Can make microlearning in a short time. Enables subtitles.
It's incredibly scalable - from microlearning content to extremely flexible storyline design; Articulate can do everything you need. The resources, templates & community info is also world-class.
I hope they will continue to make templatizing easier - but honestly, it's hard to find something I don't like about Articulate.
Easy to design lightweight & complex e-learning courses.
Easy learning curve. Lots of features for various project types.
Price is a little steep. Other than that, nothing else to complain about.
In the learning services business, it fits a perfect role. Allows for fast development, but also complex solutions.
I love articulate 360 as it is easy to use, especially if you use Powerpoint. You get lots of templates if using Storyline or Rise to give you ideas on design. It allows you to create great eLearning for your team members both full courses and micro-learning.
There is not much I do not like with Articulate 360. I think the most challenging to learn and get used to are the triggers and layers. Once you get used to it though it is not that difficult.
We brought on Articulate to provide different modalities for learning. This allows us to reduce the ILT and VILT for everything as well as providing micro-learning.
I like that Storyline allows a high degree of control over almost every element--visuals, animations, accessibility features, triggers, player features, audio, etc.
While Rise 360 is quick and easy to use, there is not much capacity for customization, which can be frustrating. Also, there are some bugs in Storyline around publishing options that should be addressed.
Articulate is improving its visual interface, making it easier to edit the timeline. There are also new accessibility features that have improved the experience of editing the focus order and adding alt tags.
