Customer and Employee Organization
What do you like best about Yardbook?
This is the best landscaping company app I have seen, it has simple ways to tracks every aspect of the small business landscaping company from start to finish from the office to the field, field employees can download the app to phones and keep them connected in real-time to the office. Love the scheduling for jobs daily, weekly and monthly!
What do you dislike about Yardbook?
The set up of entering company products could be a little simpler.
Recommendations to others considering Yardbook?
Give yourself time to look over what the software does and time to look through when product entry part because you can actually every product or service your company offers and set it up on an online webpage that does all the calculating for you and estimates on a webpage that implements another edge to landscaping business and that's internet sales. The web page when set up beforehand makes life so much easier and more profitable.
What problems is Yardbook solving and how is that benefiting you?
The benefits that the scheduling has is awesome, it will even plan your jobs in order of which ones are closest to each and make the most sense in times of travel and gs mileage so extra trips aren't backtracked or having to be gone back to. You can enter notes for the crew that is doing the job on the schedule/map of their jobs.

Great for creating estimates, matching invoices and accepting paymens.
What do you like best about Yardbook?
I like the custom catalog of services that can be added, including adding price per cut for the lawn mowing division. It makes it quick and easy to create an estimate and then later create an invoice. I like that it integrates with Stripe to collect payments.
What do you dislike about Yardbook?
I wish there were much more import features. I would like to import a list of properties that belong to one property management company, versus having to manually put them in. I would also like to be able to input the local garden center price list we get each year into the catalog and then be able to add a markup to the goods. I have suggested many things to them over the years, they tell me it is a good idea and will pass it on to the development team. I don't see many new updates and none of these features have been added.
Recommendations to others considering Yardbook?
Additionally, I wish it had more CRM functionality to it. For example, when we create an estimate, I would like to be able to track that estimate, such as marking it as lost/won.
What problems is Yardbook solving and how is that benefiting you?
You still need to use something like QuickBooks. Yardbook does not have a robust features for finances.

Good for Smaller Companies
What do you like best about Yardbook?
This is a bookkeeping software tailored specifically to the green industry. It has options under customer profiles for chemical records, lawn size, per cut price, mulch quantity, etc. If you run a smaller sized landscape company, this software is your best choice. They are constantly coming out with new features.
What do you dislike about Yardbook?
I have been a beta tester of their app for the past few years. They still haven’t released the app to the public and the app has features that are lacking. This software also isn’t easily scalable if you have a few hundred customers.
Recommendations to others considering Yardbook?
It’s best to implement it in the off season so you have time to integrate it into your operations
What problems is Yardbook solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has allowed me to greatly reduce the amount of time spent on invoices and job scheduling.
