The Xyleme product has changed the way we do business. We are more efficient, more effective, and more productive because of it. Also, the Xyleme team is the best. We feel like they are truly our partner and we can reach out and talk to anyone one of them at any time we need them.

There is really nothing I don't like. If there are things we would like to see in the software, Xyleme has a robust request system and our ideas are often implemented.

Spend the time to plan your implementation. It will be worth it. The Xyleme team is so knowledgeable and accessible, accept their help and guidance. Take time to talk with other users that have a similar business model.

We can make real-time updates that go out to our learners as soon as they are published. Previously, learners would only see updates quarterly. The other big lift is we can now "turn off" client files. Previous to Xyleme, once our course files were with our clients, we had no control. Now, they get updates real-time and we can turn files off if a contract is not renewed.

API integration, CSS styling on my output templates, content authoring, analytics, support from Xyleme is exceptional!

nothing really...what I dislike is that I don't have extra time to dedicate researching more ways to implement other technologies that can hook into Xyleme.

Implementing new business processes that can hook into Xyleme. I've realized that Xyleme experts can help me achieve a solution because they are skilled and think outside the box.

I really like that working with Xyleme isn't just purchasing software, they're a partner with us. Their team ultimately wants us to be successful in using their product. They also do a great job of listening to their customers. They take our feedback on things that would enhance the way that we use the product and many of those suggestions will be put in place. I also love that they are very willing to connect us with other Xyleme customers who are willing to share how they are using the software, unique things that their company is doing with the product and how we can better improve our own implementation of the software. The community of resources is fantastic!

Currently, there are not a lot of products that seamlessly integrate with Xyleme in an automated way; however, I know this is something that is on Xyleme's radar to make their software work better and connect better with other systems. While it's not in place currently, I'm looking forward to when they are able to build those bridges which will make their platform much more powerful. There really isn't a lot of things that I dislike about the software because, honestly, they are so open to feedback that anything that is wrong, they work on correcting or finding ways to help us work through it.

Bringing on a content management system is no easy task, but what many people don't realize is that moving to a structured authoring environment will transform the way that you create content. For many groups, you will need to be prepared to change the way you have always authored content. When you're going through this process, it's not the software that's creating the challenge, it's really the habits that you've picked up over the years creating your content. Change is hard and bringing in a platform like Xyleme will involve some level of change or possibly total change. You must be ready to make that change because the benefits are truly worth it! At the end of the day, whatever software you use ... make sure the vendor is a partner with you and not just a salesman. You will get much more out of the system when you're both working together!

Xyleme has helped us better manage the content that we create. Not only are the authoring tools powerful, but the reuse is a great asset to any company. We are just moving into a much stronger reusable learning object strategy and I'm looking forward to leveraging the tool more. We also have implemented a lifecycle management program that enables us to track our content to ensure that it is reviewed on a regular basis.

Prior to 2016, all of our pre-work, post-work and assessments were self-paced reading that was very expensive to produce, and we had no way of tracking completions in our LMS. We didn't have analytics to show if assessment questions were "high miss" questions, and we didn't have a way to share our training with the International Orkin Franchises who don't use our LMS.

Xyleme to overcome these challenges plus more that we never anticipated.

1. As a single repository for all of our training content (in development and post-production), Xyleme has made sharing, reusing, updating, and archiving content much simpler.

2. Publishing a single content piece to multiple output profiles gives us reuse in a way we’ve never had in the past, and also takes much less time than developing each output type individually.

3. Procedure building is greatly improved (for writing labs) especially the ability to easily drop rich text fields between steps, and the ability to re-order steps which we couldn’t do two years ago.

4. Updating existing (previously published) materials, especially in the eLearning space, is drastically easier than it used to be. (For eLearning, no update to the LMS learning object(s) is required – a huge plus.)

Reuse & Scalability ¬¬– Xyleme allows us to maximize our resources. We can easily scale reusable design elements and focus on customizing the content that means the most to our customers.

Version Management – Xyleme’s advanced versioning functionality has helped us easily navigate regulatory audits.

Linkability & Reusability - The ability to link and reuse content helped us drastically cut down on development time. We are a health care organization, so when we built content around Covid-19, the content was being updated on an almost weekly basis due to the newness of the virus and all of the changing protocols. Having all of that content linked drastically reduced our development time as content continuously evolved.

Customer Support - There are so many resources and support available. Every day there are live help sessions to attend, plus a "Feature Friday" twice a month and a "Core Team Roundtable" monthly. There is also an online "Yammer" community to participate in and connect with other Xyleme users.

Open to Feedback and Ideas - Xyleme has a platform for users to submit feedback and ideas...and they LISTEN to it! Many new features and behaviors have been implemented in the system due to customers voicing feedback and Xyleme acting on it.

Ease of Use - After initial training, the interface is simple to use.

Centralize content management will help users to save time and more focus.

It should have more advanced reporting and tools

Xyleme has made our translation process much easier to manage.

The ability to link content across learning solutions (instructor-led classes, web-based training, tip sheets, reference guides, etc.), has significantly cut down on our education development time. In addition, the ability to quickly customize a learning solution for a specific customer has been invaluable. With Xyleme, we can do this without spending the resources on creating a whole new module/learning solution from the ground up. Since we can quickly link content from other places, we can quickly create the specific education that any particular audience needs, once that content lives within Xyleme.

This isn't really a dislike, but a consideration for other companies. It does require careful governance and planning to reach the full ROI of this system. You can't just start developing content before carefully considering how you want content to be reused, how you want Xyleme to be structured, and without putting some type of usage governance in place.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we needed to create over 200 pieces of education related to COVID. Because our content was already housed in Xyleme, we were able to do this. We already had content related to infection prevention, PPE, etc. We were able to mine this content to create relevant education with a very fast turn-around, within our current FTE. We would not have been able to achieve this without the use of Xyleme.

Xyleme has allowed us to create reusable content across our training modules, is scalable for our end users, and has reduces our translation costs.

While the benefits outweigh any dislikes, I 'd say that the templates are rigid and take time to get used to.

Xyleme has made our translation process much easier to manage. Vendors are able to provide quick turn around and our costs have dropped.
