Immense power in a Moodle Based Tool

What do you like best about Wiley Engage?

The policies and personalization that can be placed on assignments and other assessments. The teachers can choose to do really granular policies and analytics based on delivery of the content. The editing is immediate and relatively easy to use.

What do you dislike about Wiley Engage?

There are a lot of clicks to get to certain areas but the power is still cool. The interface for the editing side can be overwhelming

Recommendations to others considering Wiley Engage?

Have multiple training sessions over a few weeks so you can feel comfortable with all the opportunities to use the tool to its fullest

What problems is Wiley Engage solving and how is that benefiting you?

Allows customization of course content and delivery to meet the needs of each teacher without losing integrity of the content.

What do you like best about Wiley Engage?

Interaction for the student tying what was taught in chapter to practice.

What do you dislike about Wiley Engage?

Would prefer that the student would have to use information from previous chapter to complete assignment. For example - instead of providing net income give information to figure it out.

What problems is Wiley Engage solving and how is that benefiting you?

Financial statements- provides good information for analytical decisions.

What do you like best about Wiley Engage?

I like the Wiley data that is provided to our application. It was easy to setup and is well organized. It seems to help people make better decisions.

What do you dislike about Wiley Engage?

It doesn't really update. It would be nice to have frequent updates as modalities change. Also, the sign up process was very difficult. Took a lot of effort on our part to engage them and get signed up. Also the support is not very responsive.

What problems is Wiley Engage solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are using Wiley to support learning and teaching objectives.

Nice platform, poor customer service

What do you like best about Wiley Engage?

The platform is very clean and user friendly.

What do you dislike about Wiley Engage?

The Wiley team is very controlling of content (even though they are not the content experts) and they have been very difficult to work with throughout our contracted time (e.g., scolding faculty for making necessary changes in courses, unable to schedule meetings in timely manner, unwilling to make updates to courses).

What problems is Wiley Engage solving and how is that benefiting you?

The Wiley team does a great job of managing the marketing and course development aspect of online education. That being said, we now know that what is important for online education management companies — more flexible and willing to honor faculty freedoms and recognize they are not the content experts (but that they are design experts).
