I really enjoyed the integration capabilities of Taskstream. We used it for my master's capstone. The different variations of assignments and feedback options made it so user-friendly and fun. I remember playing with different features and activities.
I didn't really have a lot of dislikes. I really enjoyed the system.
If you're looking for a very user-friendly system for portfolio integration and a great learning management software then look no further! This system made my master's capstone so much easier and kept all my information in one, clear, easy to use location. I seriously loved using this and wish more institutions would switch to Taskstream.
Using this for educational interfacing made grading, responses, and interacting so much easier than using most of the educational softwares I've been exposed to.
Assessment data for our institution in one place for easy access and use; user-friendly; integration with LMS & SIS
Accreditation management only allows for basic formatting in document, which is unfortunate.
organization, management of documents, efficiency, longitudinal planning
The ease of use, the way that you can build and connect programs and profiles with each other.
It can be more organized. The analytics can be a little confusing.
Creating Student profiles, running reports, etc.
I like that its easy to produce good detailed information as a form of assessment.
Nothing really, just that it can be a bit confusing to navigate.
It's a really good tool used for evaluation.
Using it towards finishing tasks that are required by many of my classes. I believe constructed feedback is quite efficient for students from this website.
Allows for seamless collaboration and organization.
Slightly cumbersome to get up and running, as well as to train.
Organizing artifacts for P&SS.
I like how easy and collaborative the accreditation self-study process is through Watermark. No more full inboxes with dozens of different draft versions to sort through.
It doesn't support nice looking self-contained "websites" like other products do. This is a nice to have, but it does make the review process easier for the reviewers. Maybe this can show up in the future.
Our accreditor requires very specific submission requirements, and Watermark helps us meet these requirements with ease. It makes collaboration during the self-study process run smotthly.
Watermark is an established company with many different software options for educational institutions to achieve their data collection or management needs. They will work with you to makes sure your needs are met and you are successful in your goals.
Watermark's Taskstream is an older system that needs to be updated, and they have put that on hold to push users to more "modern" software.
Watermark's Taskstream portfolio system was a significant component of our accreditation visit this past summer. We use it to collect artifacts demonstrating what our candidates learn in their courses and programs.
I really enjoyed using task view. It has helped me stay organized in work and in school.
There is nothing that I dislike from using task view.
The business benefits of using task view are that it keeps you organized.
I used this product as a graduate student end user. Taskstream provides an organized framework for submitting assignments and receiving teacher feedback. The Pack it Up feature also allows users to compile cumulative work from a long period of time into a single portfolio.
The interface is a little clunky and feels outdated. There are also multiple checks and balances when students submit work - students have to submit, confirm submission, then send to the evaluator and confirm the send request. It's a little tedious and would be easy for younger students to miss a step.
I can't speak to the product from an administrator end, but Taskstream is fairly straightforward for end users.
N/A - I only used this product as an end user.

We upgraded from Taskstream into Planning and Self-study, and it was like moving into the 21st century. It is easier to use and is a much simpler interface. The reports generated are great summaries of each program's work and the institution overall.
Since it is a fairly new product, some things still need to be developed. We anxiously await the monthly report with the latest updates to the system. It took a bit longer to implement than we thought it would, but very worth it in the end.
One of the problems we had with Taskstream is the faculty did not like to use it as it was somewhat complicated. Planning and Self-Study has simplified the user interface and ti will be easier to get faculty to use it. We also hope it will help with Academic Program Reviews in the future.
