StorageTek has roots going back to the advent of the tape automation industry when the company pivoted to technology to make the business successful. As a result, StorageTek has deep experience in the backup and archival business and not only produces many models of tape libraries but also produces some of the world's largest archival storage units for very prominent customers such as Google! Google is not known to buy many commercial hardware systems, as they like Facebook and many others will produce their hardware system from commodity components. However, this is not the case with deep storage archives, which utilize many StorageTek SL8500 automated tape libraries.

I wouldn't say I like that StorageTek stopped R&D and manufacturing of their tape drive technology. However, it was great that they continued to sell a competitive tape technology focused on the enterprise until the mid-2010s.

Consider it, even if it costs more. The SL150 is a fantastic value. However, it's not as inexpensive as it once was it has more functionality than it did regarding the expansion of tape slots than it did when introduced. The mid-range SL4000 (previously SL3000) and SL8500 are worthwhile contenders for your business.

I'm solving the need for deep storage archives and extensive backup reposittories, ranging from SMB to Large Enterprise.

It is very helpful software for data storage and memory management. It provides its users with very essential benefits such as protection for data, high perfomance and capacity. Besides, I really like that is easily accesible.

Sometimes, it can be really slow and some of it features can be hard to understand.
