"Heartland Retail - easiest system to use!"
What do you like best about Heartland Retail?

Heartland Retail makes it extremely easy to check customers out. It is so quick and fast to scan an item and then have a customer pay. You can also easily see the sales from the day, month or past few months extremely easily.

What do you dislike about Heartland Retail?

Heartland Retail has no downsides that I have seen so far. Sometimes our credit card reader does take a moment to load and I'm not sure if that's related to Heartland Retail or not.

What problems is Heartland Retail solving and how is that benefiting you?

This system allows all employees to quickly checkout, close the drawer at the end of the night, see sales, and so much more. It's incredibly user-friendly, and I am so glad it's so easy for everyone to learn.

New hardware sometimes is hard to learn and multiple devices with PCI compliance; however, it is necessary and does make us compliant

What do you like best?

That I can have multiple vendors for one sku. In the book world ordering one title from various sources is very common and this allows me to do just that.

What do you dislike?

When SB runs updates during working hours which slow down the system - a lot.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I have already recommended SB to other stores. In most cases SB does more than they need.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Sorting skus to study trends is what I need to do and we are getting closer to perfect!

What do you like best?

I like that it rarely has issues with crashing or freezing that that it is easy to search things within the system

What do you dislike?

It's not as straightforward as our previous system when it comes to finding specific tickets

It is a lot faster to load things and we experience less problems and erros

What do you like best?

Ease of use. Can see what we are going to receive. Receiving large shipments from the warehouse more efficient. It is easy to let the warehouse know that we have received everything or that there was a discrepancy. Also, it is good that we can assign line items to different sales people. It is good to be able to create a ticket and save it when a customer wants to return another time or day.

What do you dislike?

1) When someone buys something and wants an e-mail receipt they have to put in their e-mail even if it is in their profile. The e-mail should pop up and ask if it is correct if we have it in the system. If we do not have it, they can key it in and then the system should save it in their profile.

2) Regarding transfers, if someone cancels a request for a transfer there should be a comment field that the person who cancels needs to fill in (it could be a pull down menu with reasons) so that the requesting person knows why it has been cancelled.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Determine what are the most important features to include in a POS system and do a trial of Springboard to make sure it includes the key features and is easy to use. In our business you do not want to make a customer wait to go through several steps to make a sale. The sale must be easy and efficient whether it is discounted, split between sales, being ordered and shipped or any other potential scenario.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

As mentioned, it solves the problem of assigning line items to different sales people in the situation where two sales people have worked with a customer. Requesting transfers is easier through a system rather than just e-mails (that may not be seen) or trying to call another location. Being able to see how many of an item is available company wide and then seeing the location is effecient.

What do you like best?

Springboard allow us to keep up with progress like Employee info, inventory and also makes cashier duties a lot easier.

What do you dislike?

There’s not much that I dislike. There’s a lot of shutdowns but that is manageable.

What do you like best?

It is very easy to follow and understand. Everything is very clear cut and visually appealing as well.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes they don't include specific fields that I think would be useful.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We solve inventory errors and ticket errors. It is nice to have everything here, so that if we ever have to go back and check, its readily accessible.

What do you dislike?

I wish you had the metric to have a weekly sell thru number to analyze how much should be on order. In addition I like to review how many SKUs we are selling versus total quantity. Like we have 15 candles available to sell, but we have a total of 68 candles to sell. So I would like to have additional metrics added. I wish that it integrated with quickbooks enterprise.
