It is a valuable software that is easy to operate and does not involve too many complications.
The cost involved with this software is relatively high
Integration of cash flows, transactions, commodity positions, and market data
The fact that it is directly linked to the SAP databases and can pull on demand and provide tracking is ideal when working in a fast-paced environment. Our International team was the first to use this as our overseas subsidiaries were solely on SAP, while the rest of the company was on a separate ERP. However, we have since found that integrating with our current ERP has been easy and actually quite productive!
The startup cost for the individualized servers to run the cloud-based operation is my primary dislike. At first, we planned to integrate with our overseas servers and use our port-in to run; however, we did have to base the US operations at our headquarters, so apart from that and some expected licensing costs, it's not too bad, but definitely, something companies should plan for.
We have made it easier to get management and C-level's key performance and risk assessments faster, and with greater clarity than we previously could. The system itself is also a little bit easier to use and train on.
Cash & Liquidity Management ,Debt Management
SAP is a powerful but bulky tool. It's a significant part of our document control in a regulated medical device environment, but it's a pain to use
The software has been designed in such a way that it makes our job so easy for risk planning, risk monitoring and risk detection. We can easily assign organizational responsibilities and can track the performance of potential risks. It also helps to extract reports based on comparisons and results
I particularly liked the way it calculates risk values and return values, future values, sensitivity, exposure etc.
I think it is costly may be from my point of view.
You must try it once.
Cash optimization, expenses and other equities, payroll, spend analysis.
SAP Treasury management accumulates extensive industry expertise and saves you time and costs for the implementation of tailored solution. It is focused mainly on cash position management and multiple accounts facilitation, so it is perfect for corporate payments centers. It accepts 3-d party data to be imported and has API to deliver the capability to add prompt functionality. It is focused on interest rate instruments as resource planning and has reliable data storage.
It has no trading transaction functionality to work with iceberg orders, and options accounts should be maintained with a separate project to count all specific vanilla instruments (swaptions). I would be great to import 3-d party credit risk ratings with the possibility of applying the methodology to get the same for ERP Hana counterparties to judge account receivable risks. It would be great to have an OTC accounting module for bills of exchange.
Treasury management of a group of international companies. Our customer has 16 entities located in 7 countries, operating in a large variety of banks and accounts. So the project for TMS was expected and is successfully on the run to implement all the best experiences SAP has.
This program helped us manage our accounts payable duties. The upsides was that it helped us keep all of our invoices organized.
The downside of this program is that it was a little challenging to learn and navigate at first. The software is a little outdated in my opinion.
It is solving our having to manage invoicing on our own. This benefits me in making my job more organized.

That is best in class product for treasury management for non banking institutions: mining, energy, logistics, and pharmasuiticals. The most important is the approach of SAP - every product accumulates best enterprise practices with which the vendor and his implementation team are experienced to meet. So each next SAP Treasury project counts all the best experience and error handling of the previous. SAP TMS is one of the most sophisticated and reliable systems for consolidated bank accounts management and net financial position tracking for group of companies. It is compatible with 3 party data sources and is capable even to operate with interest rate instruments to allocate your cash reserves more efficiently.
Nothing bad to tell in terms of execution; it probably would be great to have more integrated hedging capabilities and integrated clearing and custody accounts. It would be great to have more offerings for RPA automation and alerts set up. The main contra: if you have ERP system not as SAP you will experience some integrational problems, and more cost to implement connectivity and potential issues for cloud migration.
Project implementation of TMS to manage consolidated financial position - payment, cash balances, debt, deposits, interest payments, CAPEX, cash in transit reconciliation. All in accordance with IFRS.
