Rentman is an all-in-one cloud renting tool that helps digital businesses with critical functions such as resource planning, scheduling, and communication. Managers can organize various aspects of their projects, such as equipment, crew, transport, documents, and files in a way that boosts collaboration. They can even track the availability of inventories, generate quotations, and issue invoices, all from a single dashboard. And by communicating with the involved warehouse crew, packing lists can be easily created. With the Fast Quote Building feature, users can put in data sets related to the required crew, equipment and contact information and share it with the client. And with a visual dashboard that makes equipment planning a breeze, they receive an overview of warehouse stock, operational bottlenecks, and potential conflicts. The Warehouse Management arm hosts a detailed overview of equipment flow, process digital packing lists, and more. And with the mobile app, crew members can process products by scanning their QR and Barcodes.

What do you like best?

The software was very easy to set up and the offered workflow is completely in line with our business requirements. Planning and executing projects, managing materials and customer specific pricing is very intuitive and easy to learn. Especially the integrated QR-code functionality and the mobile phone app make mobilization and demobilization of project materials very comfortable and easy. Since we use Rentman, we have never lost a single cable or screw.

What do you dislike?

The functionality of the business cockpit (dashboard) is still very basic. I would love to see more possibilities to customize the widgets shown.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are organizing the complete workflow of a rental and service company for hydrographic survey equipment with Rentman. From warehouse to project management and all the way up to invoicing. Rentman replaces several software packages, we have used before: Project management, warehouse management, hours accounting (on projects), invoicing.

What do you like best?

Once you get to know the program, it's pretty straight forward to use and helps us a lot. Since it's a online software, we can manage all our equipment and projects when we need. Mobile app is also very simple to use and our crew like the simplicity to see all the events related to them.

And the support is fantastic and quick.

What do you dislike?

The learning curve is little steep, but once you get over it, you will enjoy all the options made possible. I would love to see dedicated mobile app for the superusers, but it's not a dealbraker.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Greatest benefit for us is warehouse management and project planning. We can also assign different tasks to the crew right from the Rentman software.

Before we moved to the software we managed our warehouse in excel, so for us it's a great step forward :)

What do you like best?

the most I like, it's the fact that I can work friendly with the crew planers, crew members and veicules, planning all together in the same platform.

What do you dislike?

the way that I need to do the schedule and all the itens I need to put.

the fact I can't do the invoice in portugal, we need a different protocol . :-(

Is a grate software because they have excellent views , easy and friendly software, they have a excellent support.

Cloud....overal waar ik ben kan ik bij mijn gegevens.

What do you dislike?

Ik kan alleen inkoopverplichten voor een project aanmaken voor verhuurartikelen en verkoopartikelen en niet voor alles in mijn gehele bedrijf.

To be honest. Nothing yet. Some stuff found was missing but has been added.

What do you like best?

Rentman bietet genau die Features die wir als Verleihunternehmen benötigen. Die Cloud-basiertheit ermöglicht uns jederzeit Zugriff auf die Dispo und Personalplanung. Auch die Personalplanung gestaltet sich dank der App sehr einfach.

What do you dislike?

Eine Unterstützung von Barcodes wäre für uns sehr sinnvoll. Unser komplettes Material ist mit Barcodes gelabelt. Leider bietet Rentman nur QR Codes.

Das bereitet uns sehr viel Arbeit.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Wir haben uns anfangs davor gescheut ein jahrelang genutztes System abzuschalten und auf ein neues umzusteigen. Wir haben Easyjob 7 Jahre lang genutzt und damit tausende Angebote und Rechnungen erstellt. Aber wir haben den Neuanfang mir Rentman dazu genutzt einmal "aufzuräumen".

Ungenutzte Artikel zu löschen und auch die Kundendatenbank aufzufrischen. Der Import der Artikel ( über 5000 Stück ) war dank Excel Export aus

Easyjob und Import nach Rentman relativ einfach.

Wir verwalten unsere komplette Materialplanung und Personalplanung mit dem System. Auch Angebots und Rechnungserstellung wird bei uns mit Rentman gemacht. Durch die flexible Anmeldung bzw. Abmeldung von Powerusern sind wir jederzeit flexibel und können die Kosten minimieren.

Rentman hat es bisher immer geschafft, mit unseren veränderten und wachsenden Ansprüchen an unser Vermiet-Geschäft mitzuhalten. Rentman ist super-flexibel.

What do you dislike?

Ein aktuelles Handbuch oder Tutorials wären hilfreich. Alternativ dazu ist der E-Mail- oder Telefonsupport des Teams spitze.

Wir können alle Anforderungen an unser Vermietgeschäft (Bau-Branche) ganz individuell und maßgeschneidert abbilden. Von Materialplanung, Angebotserstellung, Lieferschein- und Rechnungsstellung, Mahnwesen, Reparaturen, Kundenverwaltung, Korrespondenz...

Kurzum, in 1 Tool bilden wir komplett alle Anforderung ab, Und das web-basiert, von jedem Online-Endgerät aus. Rentman rules!

What do you like best?

I haven't seen global online access to such a robust set of tools from any other provider. From reserving and tracking equipment to scheduling people, the majority of functions are a breeze. Updates are frequent and relevant based on an open online user community suggestions board.

What do you dislike?

Because this is a SAAS solution, you are limited in customization. There are a few key features that are important to me, but not to any of their clients, so it is unlikely that I will ever get those things that I'm looking for. I would like to see a stronger focus on: annual inventory verification process, route planning, Outlook / Office 365 integration, Point-Of-Sale transactions, and CRM functions that are not connected to individual projects.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Look at the total cost of system ownership. In my 2 super-user deployment, there is no more cost effective system out there, especially if I were to pay for a support contract. I'm sure that larger firms of 10+ superusers may benefit from an on-premise solution, but then you need to consider the costs and values of adding VPN access to your solution. Also, before settling down on your solution, look into how many of your users would even need to have super-user access. From my experience, there is no need for a warehouse staff member, or show-call worker to have a paid account, just sales, management, and accounting. There really is a lot of functionality available at no charge for an unlimited number of users, with awesome security personalization options.

Moving from our previous software suite, the mobile app and online access were key. Staff scheduling and subhire management were also important features. I also enjoy, but do not require, the beautiful dashboard and calendar views. Using the system to email quotes and apply template verbiage to those emails has also become key to my workflow, significantly speeding up the quote and change-order processes. Online signature pages are a Godsend.
