Ranorex Studio is very clearly structured and easy to use. The studio can be used for various tasks. I find Ranorex Spy particularly helpful as it makes finding important properties easier. The Ranorex libraries can also be implemented in VS, which is very helpful for writing and creating TA tests.

The tool does not immediately appear as the first search result, but with slightly more targeted search terms, it can be easily found.

For us, the challenge was to find a tool that is particularly well-suited for Windows applications. Ranorex significantly supported us in this and enabled us to solve our problem easily.

This is an excellent framework for building comprehensive automated test suites. Because of the high cost of corporate licensing and pricing, Ranorex experience is sometimes undervalued by companies that prefer to promote other test automation frameworks, such as the familiar Selenium.

The way Ranorex Studio organizes test suites, object repositories, and code modules makes managing test libraries much simpler compared to the often chaotic pure code solutions, which can vary greatly between companies or even among teams within the same organization. Additionally, Ranorex executables are useful for automating tasks beyond software testing, such as lengthy system setups for performance testing or integrating with non-IT workflows that involve repetitive manual steps. This versatility helps increase the visibility and recognition of automation teams within companies.

Ranorex provides one of the best automation tools for recording and playback WPF C# desk top application. Its advantage is its ability to add code, in C#, where other automation tool gets stuck. That was the reason why I chose Ranorex to be our core automation development tool. Ranorex still has few problems that need to be solved and that is the place where the customer support takes place, and they do great job.

Ranorex user code still use C# 4.8 while we develop on C# 11. From time to time, we see that the "Ranorex Spy" loses an element Xpath and it must be recognized again. Ranorex must find a way to add AI abilities.

We have been using Ranorex for several years for a desktop application written in Java and have mostly had good experiences. Particularly noteworthy is the ability to integrate custom user code in C#. This allows practically all requirements to be implemented, making Ranorex extremely versatile. The integration with our SQL database also works smoothly. Test data can be easily integrated and used. The modular structure allows for the reuse of code and recording modules, and test cases as well as test suites can be well constructed and comfortably linked with the test data from the database through data binding.

The reporting is overall very clear and provides the relevant information in a well-prepared form. Also very helpful is the Ranorex Spy, which allows UI elements to be reliably identified. Overall, Ranorex offers comfortable, clear working and represents a very powerful test automation tool.

There are only a few points that are disruptive in everyday life. The Ranorex Spy occasionally shows instabilities and can, in rare cases, even cause Ranorex to crash. This problem can be mitigated by clicking save in Ranorex Studio before using the Spy, so no data is lost. However, it is still somewhat annoying.

It's ease of use and mix of UI and code based automation. It worked where no other solutions did.

Automation in hard to automate areas.

Ranorex is easy to use and supports desktop, web and mobile applications. We were looking to upgrade our desktop application, and our existing automation tool won't support the windows components. Thankfully we landed on Ranorex and it worked like a charm. Their customer support is also very responsive and helpful.

You can automate pretty much anything using the tool if you have some C# experience.

If you don't have much C# experience then you can use the out of box features to automate quite a bit.

The development environment in Ranorex Studio is fexible enough for any team to set up their own bespoke automation framework.

Most of what you would want to be done with this program is pretty easily accessible and fairly straight forward to setup. Do also like the ability to integrate with visualstudioonline for automating test scripts

Occasionally crashes during recording phase, be sure to save work frequently.

Be sure to save your work frequently and do some tutorials learning best practices if you aren't familiar with the software. I would also recommend setting up the software with something like visual studio team services so that you can have multiple people work on the same test suites.
