Exhaustive inventory. Great customer service.

Not all vendors are on Quartzy, which requires us to set up separate online accounts for them. While placing orders, some items show up as ready to ship, however this status changes a few days later to "backordered" or shipping later than expected. This sometimes causes us to run into bottlenecks as we have to then source from alternate vendors with expedited shipping.

We like the real time order status updates we get in Quartzy as well as their product availability information and timeline estimates (ETA). The alternate buying/price options offered by the Quartzy interface is very important and by far the greatest software's feature alowing our laboratory to save hundreds and thousands of dollars on most purchased lab supplies. Importantly, this automated Quartzy's "Quotation " system creates a strong price competition to the major vendors like Fisher Scientific or ThermoScientific that have contract agreement with our university. In my observation, this emerging competition may even affect the University-specific (discount) prices we get from those contract vendors by lowering prices even more in their attempt to win us back as customets. Besides, the process of order placement for the Quartzy-offeres products through this software is very fast and easy. The system of instant order confirmation through email with the accompanying itemized transaction receipts is a very convenient feature for account management purposes and P-card payments. The ability to calculate spendings for a given period of time and numerous filters to sort those spendings by user, vendor, funding source etc and export date to Excel provided by this interface is highly valuable for accounting, general spending control or money management purposes. We are very happy with the customer support services too.

The obvious downsides of the Quartzy software that are clearly improvable are occasional webpage loading delays and system glitches in the process of moving products from one category to another (from "New" to "Ordered" and

"Received".This automated transiton sometimes does not always happen instantly and sometimes requires page reloading to occur properly.

Helps to save money and create purchasing history and inventory of purchased supplies.

It's easy to use, understand and it's useful!

Besides the ease of finding the items and ordering, it really has other useful functions for stock inventory, expenses and budgets, and lab location of ordered items. For our lab it's extremely convinient to have frequent orders on 're-order' mode - we use it everyday.

Cannot think of anything that I dislike.

Being able to access the purchase orders on a given grant/fund number for financial reports or for future budget proposals.

Easy to use, love the ability to control what users can edit, easy to add people or remove from a lab in the program

Difficult to search for items in inventory unless specific or exact words for the item(s) are used.

Managing the lab inventory of a growing lab over several years.

I really appreciate the ability to find previous orders/reorder commonly ordered equipment in the lab.

I really wish there was a more sophiscated way to have Quartzy include other costs such as tax or shipping on items. It would also be great it I could export this info to get total costs spent on grants etc as a way to manage my budgets more easily.

It's really helpful reducing my email load and helping students/lab members to more easily find and reorder lab equipment.

Ease of Use and Customer Support very efficient

The shipment fee is too high, sometimes will increase the cost of the order

each lab member can place a request, with a link for details, when they like , but the actual ordering can still be limited to approvers.

format of webpage means project assigned is too hard to read - no option for adjusting view except to make the whole webpage smaller.

central location for all requests, available any time of day, but silo operation meaning actual ordering can be done separately within the corporate software by the approved orderers. Accepting received inventory can be done by staff whenever and location noted well.

The best thing about Quartzy is how easy it is to use. I barely have to show new employees how to request orders because of how user-friendly is. Customer support is amazing - very helpful and quick response time.

It is a little annoying to have to go through hoops to order when the items aren't available in the Quartzy warehouse.

Quartzy is helping me place orders for chemicals and consumbles in a straightfoward manner. This benefits me greatly since I place orders for multiple teams so it's easy to keep track with Quartzy.

I love that we can track our inventory and keep tabs on all of our orders. We use this pretty much every day.

I wish there was a color-coding option to keep tabs on either type of supplies or by who requested what. Mostly just a personal preference.

Quartzy is helping to keep our lab organized. It's an easy -to-use platform that makes it convenient for everyone in my lab.
