It's one of the best products that offer intelligent search functionality embedded into the product at no cost per query, unlike other cloud providers. It can index and store data in any format an enterprise needs. We already had a search solution for non-archived data and custom layers on top of it to make search efficient and faster. Still, the inbuilt solution for search within this product was equally efficient for querying and exporting data during the audit phases.

The product can be improved by providing Semantic Search by understanding the domain, type of contents, and metadata to efficiently return data that can be queried through Voice / Text.

A cloud-native solution that can remove the overhead of maintaining the archival data. The product offers to automate the process of collecting data to archive from different data sources with complete ownership of your data, disaster recovery management, legal and compliance management, and enterprise support.

It has made administrator and customer's life easy. UI is very user-friendly and easy to use. Searches are very quick, and emails get archived without any issues.

Different types of reports can be generated, which makes compliance officers complete their job quickly and makes them happy. Proofpoint has regular updates for their products, which provides new usefull features for the customers.

This product is absolutely fantastic. Nothing to dislike for now.

Search is very quick

I can continuously feel secure in knowing that I will never lose email information. I can easily search and store emails. this software providing access for each user to access their own archive so he can get deleted mail without the support of IT department. also simple and user-friendly interface.

Email retrieval beyond deletion date. I've had to on several occasions I had to recover email I though was gone for good.

The ease of generating reports and data for our legal team! This has made our issue with email archiving an easy process. We have a limited staff and to spend very little time setting up a request and having it auto upload to a secure site so that the data can be accessed by the legal team and requiring less interaction by the techs give us time back to handle other issues. Upgrades are simple and quick we can download the content and then push it out to our boxes at a later time.

Haven't had any issues with the unit and it works great. It has met all of our needs

If you are looking for ease of use and a product with great support around it then this is one of the best I have used. Barracuda and office 365 were used in previous positions and neither were as easy to work with. Support has been fantastic, quick response and they have been very helpful with explanations and even go as far as providing instructions or training on issues.

Legal obligations that are required by our company policies. This has made it way easier and it works way better the Office 365 security option. I have had to use both so I was able to compare the 2 products. The interface make Ediscovery setups quick. Plus the technical support from Proofpoint is outstanding. We have gotten call for issues we didn't even know we were having.

it is providing the access for each user to access their own archives also, it helps to users find their deleted emails without getting any help from IT support department.

they have tutorial documents to teach their user but these documents are not properly designed so new user defiantly need a support to learn environment.

its a great solution for on premise archiving or off prem export. the gui is intuitive.

It can get costly if there are a lot of shared mailboxes.

The solution is intuitive for our users and does not require a lot of administrative work once set up.

Our users main complaint had been that the UI does not keep the folder structure that they had set up in Outlook.

This fulfills the retention requirements for our email.

Each user has access to their own personal archives. It allows for a user to find emails that were deleted without requiring IT to find it.

The analytics part looks really nice, but you have to pay extra for that.

The interface isn't very impressive. The search features are pretty basic, but the advanced search has some good options.

The archive service will handle the basics for sure. And if you want your end users having access to their own archives, this is a great option. But it is not super fancy, so don't expect anything amazing out of it.
