Proctorio was essential to our graduate school of education transitioning to be 100% online and asynchronous. Proctorio ensures that our students are the ones taking our assessments and that they are not getting inappropriate assistance. Our students very much enjoy the autonomy this gives them to take our courses and our Proctorio proctored assessments anytime, anywhere. This means that our courses, programs, and degrees are available to everyone, regardless of their family and/or professional responsibilities.

As we update our online platform, we must ensure that Proctorio is compatible. Since our Moodle platform is updated frequently, this takes time and effort. However, the Proctorio staff help with this, and it h has not been a significant problem.

One shortcoming of Proctorio is that once specific settings within Proctorio, they cannot be reset if a user has taken the assignment/quiz. Their upcoming release of Proctorio addresses this issue.

Proctorio is solving several of our issues by working on a release that allows for more granular permissions and then working on an admin dashboard that will enable administrators to print-on-demand usage reports.

I have had good experiences with proctorio. I have not had any others experience with other proctoring services though. I like that it is easy to use.

I wouldn't say there are any dislikes but we do get a lot of students who question the privacy while using proctorio so that is always a concern. I would like for them to go into more detail about future plans and maybe have breakout sessions for different LMS users.

We have conducted many online tests using Proctorio, and the technical issues that students have faced have been a tiny percentage and are often quickly resolved.

The Proctorio Gradebook can be tedious to review when using automated proctoring. At times, it seems like Proctorio is more of a deterrent than an actual proctoring solution due to the number of false positives in the analysis.

When academic assessments must be given online, Proctorio is a reliable tool we can count on to ensure academic integrity. It allows our educators to monitor the test-taking environment as if students were in a face-to-face classroom.
