Need more options for "manager" based metrics vs. only "location" based metrics
Choosing the "right" EHS software for your company is a combination of: 1) technical merit, 2) implementation effort, and 3) post-implementation support / upgrades. Look for that right fit.
ProcessMAP is our single integrated enterprise EHS platform, it allowed us to replace localized, non-connected, make-shift EHS tools by a single, robust EHS solution.
The dashboards are very useful to access key metrics in real time.

Process Map's incident management system has helped us to streamline our incident reporting and added visibility to our investigations across all our plants. This system has taken us out of the manual tracking and reporting mode and moved us to a standardize method of capturing data to help provide better analytics which in turn helps us to narrow down and truly identify the things we need to focus on to continue our improvement initiatives.
There isn't much that I dislike. I would say it took us a little longer to deploy than we anticipated but that was due to the hold ups more on our end that of the willingness from the Process Map team to keep pushing us across the goal line. This just happened to be a significant change in our process and the fact that we rolled this out regionally was a little bit of a challenge.
We are capturing better data when it comes to incidents. We now have an avenue to even capture near misses and the ability to see the progress of the investigations. We are seeing better data analytics as well as better visibility to OSHA Recordkeeping to ensure compliance.
Ability to collect needed items for not only regulatory requirements for OSHA Recordkeeping, but also to drive root cause analysis to guide prevention activities in one platform. Many customization options are available for charts to present to various levels of management. The ability to create charts without a lot of time invested is important as this is just one of the areas of responsibility within my role.
Due to COVID, the interaction with other customers to learn best practices with the system has been limited this past year.
Utilize the many resources and customer activities available through webex meetings, etc. to utilize the system to fullest capabilities. We are mainly using one module and have just started to utilize an app that will help us with business need of Job Safety Analysis. This app will help us with every changing product lines in our industry to analyze the hazards before they lead to an incident.
Ability to complete more thorough incident investigations. The system helps new supervisors in their role to complete 5 why and stepping through the contributing factors to get to the root cause.
Based on my role and usage, the global roll up of all data allows me to use the analytics to guide our action plans.
Unfortunately, most of the training offered is usually the same day of the week which does not allow for my participation. I know it is available in the training section later.

The ability to set up region/company-wide programs and be able to track results and trends easily.
It is easy for it to get overpersonalized to the point when new admins take over a lot gets lost in the transition.
KPI reporting, sustainability data collection, incident management, incident analysis. It helps us break down data faster than previous methods.
I like the customization and ease of administrator updates. It's super easy when we want to add a location, department, or organizational structure. If we're going to add a new module, we can add them seamlessly. The user conference allows actual businesses to learn from one another. The 'host' companies for EHS platforms (like ProcessMAP) only provide a tool. The community identifies the needs and opportunities. ProcessMAP is quick to adapt and improve.
While many of the features are moving to mobile applications, we need more features to transition to the mobile application.
The biggest problem ProcessMAP is solving is Central data collection and analysis.
The BBS module is probably the module with most potential to move our organization to our desired "Accept Only Zero" culture. In addition, the mobile capability is probably not used as much as it could be.
Not that I dislike it, but I struggle with Insight. I've not had much time to work with it, but we spend too much time for monthly reports and presentations outside of ProcessMap and do not take advantage of the power of the tool. Also, the way root cause analysis is designed in our system has too many options - there are over 350 root cause choices within the 33 categories - way to many choices.
