I enjoy all of the intuitive reporting features on Power School. It makes it easy to sort and organize student data efficiently.

There can be a steep learning curve when you’re adapting to the software for the first time. For example, generating all of the student data can take some getting used to.

Power School makes it easier to have a “one-stop shop” for student behavioral data and grading. It simplifies reporting and makes student behavior easy to track, while also offering helpful tools for grading. Student demographic information is also easy to find when I need it.

PowerSchool is highly customizable. I can quickly add custom field that allows me to track special fields for my international school settings. The year-to-year records are clearly stored and I am able to export data into CSV files easily for integration with my spreadsheet apps.

Sometimes the yearly tasks are too complicated to remember from year to year. It can be difficult training new staff to take over the admin responsibilities.

Tracking student records, including attendance, grades, schedules, report cards, comments, transcripts, and contact info.

I love that I am able to use Powerschool as my primary grading LMS. Students can get all of their grades in one location. Grades from the Canvas LMS are synched and easily transferred into PowerSchool which saves me a step.

I don't have any dislikes. It is very user friendly.

The ability for PowerSchool SIS to sync information to multiple PowerSchool products, such as Professional Learning, Curriclum and Instructions (Chalk), Perform, Records, PowerTeacher Pro, etc.

There are so many features, you really should attend a PowerSchool training such as PowerSchool University to get a deeper understanding of how to utilize different features to their fullest.

The ability for PowerSchool SIS to pull our faculty and staff information from eFinancePlus, and then push that to other attached products makes sharing of data seemless throughout our district. We use Single-Sign on to streamline ease of access and the addtional PowerSchool apps are housed in the apps switcher for seamless login to other platforms (depending on access rights). Our district decision to use PowerSchool SIS along with multiple PowerSchool applications has autmated our account creation across multiple products.

It's a great tool to use for viewing students schedule and a way of communicating with parents and teachers.

The app sometimes does not work and it takes a while to get it back working.

PowerSchool not working for a few days is not the best improvement. Not benefiting anyone.

Daily attendance is super easy. It is very easy for a teacher to update grades as well as for parents to see grades and missing work.

There really are no negatives with this program. As long as the internet works it’s great for parents, students, and teachers.

PowerSchool SIS provides streamlined communication with students, staff, and families. Users can view attendance reports, grade summaries, assignment due dates, and message teachers.

PowerSchool SIS is a big investment. Time and money should be thought of before making the switch. Parents will have a big learning curve due to all of the functionalities it provides.

We managed our middle school information systems after switching from other programs. We wanted software with better support and more integration functions with families.

We use it for attendance, grades, and many other things.

I do not have any downsides to report about using this product.

It is very customizable, either in house (if you can do some basic coding) or through the many contractors Powerschool can reccomend. It does the job but there is a bit of a learning curve. Being able to query student data and spit out what you are looking for is really nice. Thier customer service platform is pretty efficent as well.

I feel like Powerschool is always aquiring another platform and forcing it to work with the student information system. I feel like this has led to a bit of neglect on the SIS.

Ability to customzie our data and make changes on the fly. While some basic features are lacking on the 'frame' you can add back pretty much anything you might need. Good SIS and Support.
