Simple, flexible and reliable Kubernetes management.
No vSphere CSI driver and no VM template for on prem deployment
Totally managed solution and support team really skilled.
It takes the guesswork out of building and managing a k8s platform. Upgrades are seemless!
There isn't a good way to back things up.
We needed a k8s platform fast and didn't have the skillset to build it out and administrate it. Platform 9 delivered quickly and above expectations.
The managed service behind the platform. The Platform9 team is very experienced in Kubernetes and are always available to guide us in the right direction.
Nothing really worth mentioning. Overall, it's been a great experience.

It's taken all the complexities of managing a Kubernetes environment away.
personalized attention, attention to detail, great support level, feel like they are involved in our k8s journey with us
support for gke far in the future, may impact our ability to stay with them
helping us monitor and support our clusters 24x7, provide timely updates to the control plane to resolve security issues, general k8s knowledge
Extremely easy to deploy, manage, monitor and automate with built-in WebUI tools and others such as Argo CD and Ansible, Versus Others with less automation or too much where you can get vendor locked.
Can also be deployed in Free Tier or Platform9 providing a Testing/Canary Environment for Enterprise Users Free of Charge.
Customer service can be a hit or miss at times, Some customer service people will be awesome and some will just send you a link/reference and you're on your own
Massive reduction in start-up/maintenance complexity while allowing you the flexibility to test new features and customize the cluster to fit your business needs
I've tried several Kubernetes as a Service like AWS Elastic Kubernetes Services (EKS) or Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). These services are very good but they locked you in their cloud. If you have on premisses K8s, and/or in different clouds, you end up having to manage different ways to deploy and manage your Kubernetes Cluster. With Platform9 you forget all the hassle to install and maintain your different K8s clusters. Platform9 allows you to easily install a fully functional, production-grade, and on-premises cluster from scratch in less than 15 minutes. They also have specific integrations for AWS and Google, so you can have the resources provided by these cloud providers without being locked in. Currently, we have 6 clusters and zero maintenance. We can define roles to access specific resources on our cluster and each user is able to download your own Kubeconfig. The support is amazing, always helping me in the specific cases I had.
Besides being powerful, I still missing some features very specific to my use case. One of these features is the ability to change the instance type on PF9 AWS installations using the control panel. Either way, I asked the support and they promptly did that internally.
We have a hybrid environment with On Premisses services and AWS clusters. Platform9 unified the way we do to install and maintain the different environments I have.
The GUI is probably the best I've seen so far and it's very easy to deploy nodes and clusters. Having the ability to host vms with kuevirt and gui is perfect for my small buisness.
There's nothing that I disliked. It's perfect for my small business. The only thing I could wish for is a more extensive community.
Using a HA Kubernetes cluster offers me a reliable system to host websites and virtual machines.
The great looking UI, very intuitive UX.
Absolutely nothing to dislike.
Nothing..
Multi-cloud deployment of Kubernetes.
We run MLops on top of Kubernetes.
I really liked the seamless integration, the ability to add a node in an automated fashion, not a lot of knowledge of Kubernetes is required to set up and therefore it can truly democratize autoscaling and all the other great things about Kubernetes.
There is nothing really that comes to mind on this one
Its a great product, some tips in the pf9 cli will take it to perfection level
I did a setup for ANPR(Automated Number Plate recognition) for in house vehicle detection and parking management
