The ease of setting up, maintaining, and tracking project activity.

Not being able to easily compare actual and demand hours for a project or resource. It would be nice if that was more integrated throughout the product.

It allows us to evaluate, prioritize, plan, and track projects in our IT portfolio.

I have been dabbling with several Project Management Solutions in my current organization and earlier ones; Planview came across as a complete package. One of the most crucial factors I understand now is the Consultant who works with you. Their expertise in Project Management and the in-depth knowledge of the Solution are essential for the implementation and successful adoption of the solution in the organization. While the feature list of solutions available in the market is easier to compare, such expertise cannot be gauged earlier on. The PPM Pro is a complete solution that can track a project, its status, and metrics from Initiation to Closure - Request capturing, stage gating, converting a request to project, monitoring and capturing lesson's learnt. The organization is active and hears its customers, often including features requests in their upcoming releases. The customer community is also very active and can help find answers to questions before reaching out to the Customer HelpDesk. Overall, very happy with the product.

The Product feature list is vast, and sometimes you may have to seek help through a consultant to get something configured, which may cost money if you have exhausted your service hours.

Like any large organization, our main objective was to bring visibility on projects (Requests, Ongoing, On hold, etc.) to all stakeholders. Such visibility helps the executive leadership team and any requestor plan the timelines around their projects better. With PPM Pro, we can publish the most up-to-date information about projects, the resource utilization/availability, budget to those who need to know in a straightforward, simple way.

The interface is clean. For how much can possibly be managed, it's nice to navigate without being overwhelmed.

It's a little too plain. Although the pro there is not having a display that's too busy, everything looks too similar, so it's not as quick to navigate as something that's more color coded or shaped differently.

Standardizing project management and tracking insights. Benefits have primarily been better visibility to stakeholders. Of course, in comparison to previous tools used that are stuck in, anything is better, but Planview PPM Pro really exceeds expectations. One of the best things about it is the customization. It's tricky to figure out the best approach, but once that's locked in, there is a tremendous amount of flexibility without too much complication. The interface is clean and easy to navigate. Support helps a great deal. So far, there haven't been any limitations with how much is tracked. There are also critical integrations with a number of third-party applications such as Salesforce, so Planview PPM Pro is certainly a worthy tool for project management, tracking, and reporting on those items. Lastly, the variety in which reports can be viewed is helpful. There is often more than one way to get the data you need.

This is an amazing project management software that creates and manages project timelines and organization. It enables us to easily track hours of project tasks and activities and time on deadlines. It greatly aligns projects and provides tools to execute each project day by day. It is easily accessible from anywhere. It is cloud-based platform, so data is being saved and secured on cloud. Their support is very helpful. It has incredible tools for portfolio and asset management. It always focuses on project improvement. It provides the ability to customize the request workflow from submission to decision. It increases developer’s productivity.

The details of projects, resources are sometimes problematic to manage. It takes too long the user interface should be more clearly designed to make it better for project management. The reporting engine needs proper training for report writers. It opens new window for everything which is quite confusing. It is not that much intuitive; it needs a lot of understanding of how it works in first time. It takes time while updating project tasks.

This platform helped us a lot in managing our project for our company developers as it was way harder for them to manage multiple projects with their deadlines so we implemented this tool for our company and it helped us a lot in improving projects, technologies and developers productivity. It handled our organization really well; project managers are now designing project plans through it and all the other staffs record their time.

Planview PPM Pro is a network based tenable end-to-end resolution that delivers illumination for managing the projects and portfolios. It helps keeping records of project time tracking by time-sheet means. It manages time and resources of your work in a specialized manner. Also it provides a free demo tape to have a look on all the accessible features for beginners. You can tailor your project lists as well. It makes cooperation and collaboration much easy and enables use of dashboards.

The main negative feature seen in Planview PPM pro includes not those reasonable scheduling processes. Also its interface is a little tricky to plot a course for pioneers with partial functionality. The developing reports feature is much time taking. The pin feature does not work every time. If you are new to use this application, you have to spend some time to learn the basics as well. The Gantt chart view cuts off the description of projects.

Planview PPM pro is all for one program and because of its ease of use and setup is deeply appreciated. It is loved by many users as it contains all the major elements required to manage their portfolios completely and for milestone tracking. It shows good reporting capabilities as well and works well with multiple users.

Really easy to use interface. Able to assign tasks to project stakeholders and much better format to track in than a spreadsheet.

Innotas is easy to use and provides all the basics (and more) for managing a portfolio of projects. The reporting feature does not require a specific skill set (i.e. Crystal) to run. Recently Innotas has implemented new features that allows Administrators to create different types of projects (I.e. project with various data fields) which has allowed for the solution to be extended at an entreprise level.

I would like to see a "read only" license be available that would be free.

Before Innotas we had over 60 projects that were not captured in a single repository. Creating a single report for project status was painful and time consuming and often done in Excel, over email. With having all our projects in Innotas, we were able to introduce reporting guidelines and schedule and creating a consolidated view which highlights the highest risks project is extremely quick and easy.

Innotas provides us with the ability to manage our complete portfolio of projects using a cloud-based solution, integrating in our budgeting and actuals for projects with the interface for IT personnel to quickly enter in their hours for the week.

It takes a decent amount of time to master the way estimated, budgeted and actual costs are calculated. It all makes sense once you figure it out, but you really have to dig in to get to that point.

Don't get caught up in the dashboards at first. Concentrate on the core data related to your key PMO processes. Once you have a solid portfolio of project data in the system, the flashier stuff will follow.

We were trying to mature our project management processes and standardize the approach to project initiation and financial management. We have definitely taken advantage of the Innotas platform to establish a project initiation workflow and also use the tool to create dashboards for our monthly meetings to review budgets and costs with the executive team.

The legacy reports have been lagging behind other off the shelf reporting tools, but the R2D2 reporting engine seems like a big step forward in modernizing PPM Pro reporting capabilities.
