Accessible on any device, anywhere, with all the tools needed

PROS: I can use this program up on any device, anywhere, with all of the tools I need to easily pull up the plans on a job site. It's very simple to make notes, send out RFIs, take pictures and share items with other users. I can even download the plans to my device so I can access it even without a good internet connection.

CONS: My only issue with this is the recently updated price point. I feel now the pricing is high, especially if you are paying for several users.

Easy to use and collaborate with contractors and owners

PROS: PlanGrid's Issues feature is bar none the easiest and most user friendly punch list generator on the market. The mark-up feature is very easy to use as well. We can collaborate with teams that are not in the same geographical region in real time even while on the phone.

CONS: The only way to handle submittals for a project is with "workarounds". It can be done but requires a little more work than some of the other products on the market.

Saves time and money while easily make edits for documents

PROS: PlanGrid is very fast and easy to make edits, upload ASI's and PR's and make annotations for trades to view. I can make links to important documents like RFI's, ensuring us that we provide the newest versions of the drawings while keeping track of the changes made.

CONS: The web view could use a full screen view of the drawings. On my 27" monitor it takes up a small space. I would also like to see some features added like sorting drawings by tag.

"The Most Useful Document Management Platform"

What do you like best?

Plangrid makes it easier to keep a lot of documentation in one place and separates documents by date or by versions of the same document.

What do you dislike?

Plangrid has a data storage limit but can hold a lot of documents. Wish Plangrid expands its data storage limit.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you need a document management system, PlanGrid is flawless and makes it easier to put everything in one location organized.

It puts every document into one location or folder depending on dates and names of folder. Plangrid can be used in the office and out in the construction field.

"Great Construction Admin Tool"

What do you like best?

The real updates for projects. You can instantly communicate between the GC, Architect and other consultants and coordinate details or responses to questions.

What do you dislike?

The sheet limits. You can rack up the number sheets in use and blow through your quota.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

you need to set up a system within PlanGrid to fully implement all of the benefits. Consistent sheet numbers and titles. Correct Font usage like Arial so PlanGrid will recognize the sheet numbers and titles properly. Need a sheet numbering system that puts the disciplines in correct construction set order, for examples, C, A, S, MEP, etc instead of alphabetical.

What do you like best?

Plangrid's interface allows for easy adoption for all levels of technology adopters. They easily understand the why and push for adoption of increased use cases that deliver value to projects

What do you dislike?

I wish we could import meta data templates if you will to increase productivity as we bring in drawings.

Plangrid is an excellent tool that field staff gravitate towards. The value is easy to see

We are improving communication between the office and the trailer and the trailer and field staff. You see increased communication and staff getting information at the right time.

"Ease of use"

What do you like best?

The ease of use for PlanGrid is amazing. Any "new" user can easily upload and markup drawings.

What do you dislike?

The new model integration, it does not work well no matter the size of the model

Getting real-time documents directly to the field without having to wait for drawings to be printed and distributed. All supt notes are available to everyone without having to stop in the trailer.

I'm still getting used to the format, so I don't currently have a dislike.

Easy fast stable field access, online and offline.

What do you dislike?

advanced RFI tool needs to be finished. It is missing necessary functionality in order to be fully utilized. For example, custom rfi numbers.

Need a solution that has full linking and workflow for submittals, RFIs, drawings, and specs. PlanGrid has drawings and submittals, needs help on RFIs and specs.
