At a produce company, what we like best about Planful is how seamlessly it supports multi-level sales management. The platform makes it incredibly easy to drill into individual accounts and explore detailed financial data—without having to export anything to Excel. We especially appreciate the ability to expand all rows and columns directly within the platform, which allows our team to analyze performance by product line, region, or customer segment with just a few clicks. It’s efficient, intuitive, and has significantly improved the way we manage and review sales data across the organization.

What do you dislike about Planful?

Currently, Planful is not connected to our ERP system, which means we still need to manually upload a significant amount of data. This adds extra steps to our workflow and limits the potential for real-time updates. We’re hopeful that moving forward, we can establish a direct integration with our ERP system to streamline the process and fully leverage Planful’s automation capabilities.

Planful is user friendly and great at manipulating large quantities of data in seconds. The Spotlight feature has been a heaven send for monthly reporting packages.

I would like some of the journal entry and rollforward capabilities to be more straight forward.

We have to consolidate several entities, including foreign subsidiaries. Planful makes the monthly financial results uploads a breeze and is easy to navigate when trying to investigate discrepancies.

It can take time to run complex calculations with large amounts of data

Planful takes the mundane tasks away and lets me actually analyze my data instead of spending all of my time inputting data. It takes away the user error.

The training modules are informative, but the voice is a little monotone and I had to speed up the reading to 1.25. Otherwise I found myself losing focus.

I’m able to pull reports all in one place and can analyze information with ease.

The simplistic design doesn't over complicate processes.

The user maintenance section you have to go into a drop down menus to edit most things. This does not work well when on a mobile device. With users across multiple time zones, people often get locked out after hours. I cannot uncheck the locked button from my phone which would alllow me to unlock someone in seconds. Now I have to log back in on a computer to do it. I wish there was a better way to do this.

By being able to easily integrate new acquisitions, it has helped us scale our business quickly with fewer resources.

How easy it was to connect to NetSuite and my other data sets and how easy it was to learn the tool.

Most of my dislikes I just had to learn more about the tool and figured out it could do what I thought it couldn’t.

One source of truth due to accurate and fast reporting. Increased accountability and better forecast accuracy.
