In this software is very user friendly, very easy to makeing circuit. Many short cut avaliable to makeing circuit. In this software find maximum number of component footprint, symbol etc. In this software DRC( Desgin Rule Check) easily perform. Online DRC also avaliable. In this software BOM( Bill of material)create very easy. In this software show also global voltage also. In this software easy to sync to PCB editor.

In This software some Bug are avaliable.In capture liberary footprint no soldermask & pastemask not present. In this software liberary not work in Real time.

In this software resolve bug. liberary also work in Real time, makeing fooprint give soldermask & pastemask. In footprint Through hole pad make some big because disoldering time very much difficut and SMD pin also make big because assembly time very much difficulty come.

It is a comprehensive design environment for all aspects of electronic design process from schematic capture. compatible with other design software. it includs a simulation tools that enables the engineers to simulate and analyse the designs before their commiting to hardware.

it can be slow and expensive. easily configurable but not necessarily beginner friendly. the orcad capture analysis and simulation tools are not as advanced for PCB design solutions.

It will solve the troubleshooting circuit simulation issues. orcad capture allow to efficiently create and manage our schematic designs with easy schematic entry, direct integration to simulation and PCB layout.

Since many of us were introduced to ORCAD in lab during graduation studies, it sort of built a notion that its more specific towards academics, but throughout the years it has evolved to be targeted more towards industry, keeping the edge it had being an education oriented software of PSpise simulations, making it very powerful tool.

It retained keyboard shortcuts etc. from the very early versions which is useful for returning users.

One good feature is cross platform schematic translators for Altium and Eagle.

lack of Integration of all components in one suite, generally EDA and other engineering software are moving towards more integrated approach collecting every component in one suite. It would have been more convenient if ORCAD improved more in this regard. While user friendliness of UI is not very Ideal, usage in general is easy to get accustomed to, and after you are familiar with the design flow. In terms of time required to master it, I will still consider it as a con.

As of now i dont have any dislike using this software since this is our schematic creation software from start.

For those who is a beginner in layout this is one of the easiest software for creating electrical and layout work
