I've learned so much & it is just my first year using OpenGov. I like how it helps me to break down each area of my department's budget so I can focus on that area only.

There are some visual aspects, such as the small window within my browser window at times.

It helps me to stay on track with the various budgeting areas for my department & plan accordingly for the following year.

OpenGov staff are amazing. They are responsive, creative problem solvers, and care about their customers. We are implementing several of their products and their project managers are communicative, organized, and I never have to ask anything, they are always one step ahead of me.

They keep coming up with more product that I like ;) I really don't have a complaint about them. They truly care about their customers and listen to their input when developing their products.

Be diligent in your research and pick a company that is good for your organization.

We are streamlining our processes and sharing data in a more intuitive way to our residents. Are end users are able to create views on data and use them to better understand their data and be more proactive with decision making. We are working diligently to be more transparent with our residents and provide meaningful data that they can use.

I love that I do not have to be on my work computer to access our information.

There are so many things that it can do that there is a rather large learning curve. Although their team came to town and showed us how to utilize the most basic things and seemed very open to questions.

This software is great for the entire company. There are so many things it is capable of doing. It seems like the customer support is fantastic and the ability to log on through the web instead of installing software makes it even easier to use. I am still learning how we can tailor it for our particular department, but across the City it is a great tool.

It is so great to be able to work in opengov along side other departments. It definitely helps open up communication when we are all using the same software and we can track what each person is working on.

We recently starting using OpenGov for a municipal government to handle the City-wide budget development, evaluation and adjustments. It's a good system so that all Departments can see each others budgets and they are uploaded/entered in the same formats. If the budget office makes a city-wide change in something all corresponding budgets are updated immediately.

Sometimes the updating lags a little bit and you have to wait for each entry to post. So you can enter data in at lighting speed.

Good system for any organization that has multiple departments and has a need to centralize the budgets, revenues and expenditures. Particularly handy for those in the finance/budget office to keep track of all the departments and how everyone is doing with respect to the overall budget and goals.

We are using the software to centralize and standardize our budgeting for a small sized municipal government.

Very easy to use for new users. Great looking and easy to use interface. Has ability to access html coding for custom coding.

It needs more features, including the ability to group by different attributes. They are working on this...so it needs a little more maturity to develop.

Online transparency and ability for public to view our budget and other financial information.
