OpenClinica Setup
What do you like best about OpenClinica?
The SuperUser Training they offer is one of the most helpful things they offer, as well as their support. It's easy to setup once you learn how to do it. Cost is a plus too!
What do you dislike about OpenClinica?
I wish there were more training videos. Dropdown lists could use some help. Also, they are working on it, but their UX/UI for phones is not quite there yet. They will get there in time.
What problems is OpenClinica solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are an Observational Clinical Trial and OpenClinica is helping us with data capture. We have found that it takes longer than we would have wanted for the coordinators to learn the system. Once they do, however, it is okay.

What do you like best about OpenClinica?
Very easy to create and update forms. Great customer support. Quick to learn and user friendly.
What do you dislike about OpenClinica?
The automatic visit scheduling is a bit limiting although it is now being addressed. No custom role configuration.

OC4 for Oncology Trials
What do you like best about OpenClinica?
The support provided by the Openclinica team cannot be beat. If I may list two things, the OC system is incredibly user friendly.
What do you dislike about OpenClinica?
Ability to edit layout of CRFs can feel limited at times.
What problems is OpenClinica solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a centralised system to collect quesitonnaire responses from participants, record that data, enter clinical results, and upload copies of paper work related to each participant visit. This system provides all of the above.

OC4 form developer has been great
What do you like best about OpenClinica?
Form Developer has been a great feature and an upgrade from oc3. Customer service has been quick and helpful.
What do you dislike about OpenClinica?
Complex checks took a little to figure out.
What problems is OpenClinica solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been using oC3 for a long time. So far its been a great solution for us with data capture.

Easy to use for end user, can use some improvements for monitors
What do you like best about OpenClinica?
The staff at OpenClinica is extremely helpful and has helped guide us and develop our study case report forms, as a company who did not have a data manager this was extremely helpful.
What do you dislike about OpenClinica?
There are improvements that can be made in terms of the user interface for the Sponsor. For example, having item level SDV within the form you are monitoring would be very useful.
What problems is OpenClinica solving and how is that benefiting you?
OpenClinica has been very open to making changes based on our input, including adding item level SDV. There are a few things to iron out, but it is nice to know that they take our suggestions and actually do something about it.

Comprehensive, well thought out clinical research database
What do you like best about OpenClinica?
The ability to work with the team in Cambridge who helped us to build our database server. The software was quick to implement and easy to setup with admin and user privileges.
What do you dislike about OpenClinica?
Building the question forms was easy enough once you had read the documentation thoroughly.
Recommendations to others considering OpenClinica?
Building users and admins for other clinical research stations was easy to do with the ability to make stepped changes to the versions and keep version control.
What problems is OpenClinica solving and how is that benefiting you?
Small file backups with the ability to save result codes for interpretation and analysis.
