I like how easy it is to use the application's different tools. It makes it easy to take engineering classes, make calculations, draw models and send everything to myself or peers in various formats. It's also good to brainstorm ideas for events, engineering problems, group meetings, and more! I also use it as a planner and read PDFs and take notes.
So far, I've liked almost everything! Maybe they could add more options to save different types of favorite tools. For example, I have pens/markers for meetings and others that I prefer to use for math problems.
The main benefit for me is recording meetings, classes, and audio notes while I take my notes. It's helped me complete tasks more efficiently and faster. I've illustrated house models for demolition projects, calculations for geotechnical problems, and more! In general, it makes my work notes look neat.
I am someone who has to read dozens of research articles every week, and no debility helps me to stay organized and helps me to feel like I'm really digging into the things I am reading
I don't love the import process is five or six steps it feels like at least. I wish it was easier to create presets so that things could be entered more smoothly.
It's hard to feel like you are really getting enough out of a PDF when you were reading off of a computer screen, but when using the app on an iPad you can really feel like you are engaging with the text
A quick place to jot down important notes and ideas and comes with a ton of features that feels good/easy to use.
Notability isn't a free app and the design display could be better.
a perfect place to keep all my writing ideas such as articles, books, or just website/newsletters.
The ease with which I can use it on an iPad Pro. Our students find it invaluable.
The saving feature makes it look like it is saving to your iCloud account when it is not.
Notetaking for classes - providing alternative means for those who struggle in classes.
I love that notability allows you to combine several different ways of altering a document -- writing with an Apple Pencil or other stylus and typing. There is also a highlight function. Changing how you alter documents is also really easy with the lasso tool, which you can also use to make things that you have written larger or small. This makes editing documents easy.
I dislike the sharing function. I have had a hard time backing up my Notability files to an online source such as Google Drive. I have also noticed that emailing documents can be tricky. There is a function where you can back up your files to the cloud and share with a Mac computer; however, the notes usually look different on the computer.
Problems currently being solved include figuring out the best way to back up documents and keep them safe. I have realized that it's super nice to have all documents I need saved in one app.
I like that i can created folders for organization! Keeps my classes separated.
Sometimes the text boxes don't pop up where i want them to.
Much better than google docs when it comes to organization/accessibility!
Solving computer storage issues. Benefits include having all your notes organized in one spot
User friendly. Great utility. Has many uses. Indispensable for business and personal use.
Until recent updates removed full-keyboard typing option in favor of handwriting recognition, I would have nothing to put in this box. As with many others in this age, I type better and faster than I hand write. Tiny keyboard option not sufficient. Need to go back to full-keyboard typing option - please!
Get it now.
Marking up drafts, filling in forms, making notes. All far easier with greater utility than other options.
I like that you can straighten out your highlighting by holding your finger down an extra second. That makes my PDFs look a lot neater and cleaner. I also really like that you can resize any handwriting that you make directly on the PDF.
I don't like how the "undo" button doesn't really work... Like sometimes it works and at other times, it doesn't and sometimes it erases a mark that is not the last one made.
Try using this over OneNote! You'll like it much better. My only criticism is that it's harder to organize your notes than in OneNote
This makes note taking easier and more fun. It also make storing my electronic notes in one place easy. I hated taking notes from a PDFd document before Notability. Now, I prefer having PDF copies of all my texts instead of having a paper version.
I really like all the different features that notability has to offer including image insertion the different colors of pencil marks in the different tabs as well as the option to include voice. When it comes to work it really helped me organize my ideas and present it to my team and they were very impressed by the visuals that the app provided in dissecting the discussion at hand even further
I really wish that there was a way to add the voiceovers to certain aspects of your notes. There’s also no way to really move the folders around in a different order which is frustrating sometimes but other than that it’s pretty great. The great thing about Notability is that they are constantly making updates which definitely help keep the users engaged
I highly recommend notability to everyone who wants to organize their thoughts and give it a more visual representation
Overall I don’t really see many problems with Notability it is a fantastic tool for up-and-coming college students it saves a lot of paper as well. The many benefits of using Notability include the layering the subjects option the different colors of pencils the different tabs the ability to share these notes with your friends in an instant in PDF format or any other format that you choose. Notability also has a left-handed feature. And as someone who is left-handed herself this really helps me use the app to the optimal value possible

I like how easily we can organise all our notes in one place.
One thing I dislike in Notability is that the free version of the app comes with limited edits for each month and there is o clear statement as to what constitutes an edit.
It is helping us to organise notes properly with the help of sub folders like subjects, binders, etc.
