Have used this website builder for many years now. Whilst it is basic, it is not complicated to use, and produces quite good websites. Great product for the price.
Hi, just an updated as of today 24 Jan, I can still edit my site using a new chromebook (running chrome 87) it allow you to run one time which gets you in. also I tested an old Chromebook, which has gone past Googles end of life date so it no longer gets updates, with that asks if you want to run flash and lets you in. Chrome 88 is now rolling out (which removes flash) so am guessing th enew chromebook wont run flash soon, but maybe the old one will as it doesnt get updates.
Disappointed with service. I have been with them for 4 years and no issues with them until recently. I am considering leaving them due to others 1 star reviews. What about my domain and email address though? For those of you that left Moonfruit were you able to keep your email address and domain or did you have to make new ones?

It was difficult to decide whether to give a 2 or a 3 star rating for moonfruit. I am a freelance designer and I have been using Moonfruit for years. They're a typical example of a company that has grown too fast for them to keep up the degree of service you've come to expect. The design facility is very good. However, the technical support is shocking.7 years or so ago it was superb. Now, with growth, when dealing with a technician, you can see where the policies and procedures have been implemented to try and effectively deal with a growing staff and customer rate. The problem is, these procedures aren't fit for purpose. Whilst dealing with technicians in the past, you would deal with one. You felt like you were having/typing a conversation with a person actually taking your issue seriously. Now, it's like dealing with robots happy only to do the minimum required to fulfill the protocol. There is a clear disconnect between departments and also a lack of understanding about how each departments systems work. They also, and importantly, don't have a Complaints Procedure and finding the correct Ombudsman service to deal with Web Hosting is pretty unclear. It's a real shame as in the past I would have heartedly recommended them. their prices are good and their SEO tips are excellent. But if something goes wrong, prepare yourself for a lengthy and frustrating and possibly costly (if your sites become inaccessible situation. They have started to sell secure domains. However, they don't appear to fully understand how to use their system yet, or at least it appears the team that deals with domains but not SSL, doesn't now how the forwarding works. This has meant my sites have appeared insecure and even worse, displaying severe caution to customers when trying to access the sites. I will be looking for alternative hosting services over the next 6 months. I'd like to think they may read their reviews and take seriously the genuine view point of a long and loyal customer, however any company that feels they don't need a proper complaints procedure must feel like its entirely unnecessary, which I think pretty much says it all.
I find the responsive editor to be the MOST annoying editor I've ever used, it's incredibly limited in it's functions, really glitchy, impossible to drag and drop, creating menu items need some really laborious workarounds, the sliders to select font size, etc., jump up and down in huge increments but never let you select the size you want (please, just let me type the point size in, there is obviously some CSS in here that makes text in some sections a different size, even when they are supposed to have the same point size selected - it's just awful. I hope they get this sorted soon, because as it is, every single person's website is going to look exactly the same, the features are so limited. No blog section, what decade are you in?!!
I also have used Moonfruit for years and I am highly frustrated with the current situation regarding editing. Fortunately my site is non commercial but if it was this would be unacceptable. I have asked them to add notes to apologise to readers which have been done promptly but we need to know from the MD or CEO what's going on and when will it be fixed?
En micaso eliminaron una funsion con la Cual ya tenia Anos sin problema alguno. Ahora no cuento con ese servicio y me gustaria que lo resolvieran lo antrs posible!
We have been with moonfruit for 6 years, now owned by Yell.com. The site builder is good and the response builder works very well. I have 5 sites with them and spend around £40 a month for various bits emails, https etc.The problem is when they have an outage it takes days to come back up. There's no contact because they take their own site down too. Their twitter account goes silent too. We have had an average of 4 days down each year. my main site has around 50'000 unique users a year, so that's become too much of a problem. I'll be investing in a new host and paying again to build a site and lose all my organic links built up through search engines.
Final nail in the coffin for Moonfruit. After having been with them for many many years I have spent the last few days redesigning my website on Wix and their builder is absolutely fantastic! I can't emphasise that enough!I suggest everyone take the time you have in lockdown, if you're unable to work at the moment like me, and redo your website using Wix.Just waiting for domain to transfer then it's bye bye Moonfruit forever
