Microsoft Bing Autosuggest API Reviews

I like how verstaile it is with the involvement of Bing AI and type-ahead accuracy it brings along with this API. I personally felt it work better from the APIs porvided by google, bloomreach etc and the addition of shortcut taskbar works great for any application.

Due to lack of developer guide, which is present for the bloomreach api, it is probably time-consuming and tedious to learn how to implement it, but once done, works way more efficient than other APIs.

I have used this in my web application where it was implemented in mainly two sections - first the quick retrieval of queries from the chatbot which will include autosuggesting/autocompleting and second, the dropdown search bar where it helps in related search suggestions based on the previous/current search made.

It is user-friendly. My favorite thing about this software is the suggestions feature.

In comparison to Google, not as easy to navigate.

It is ideal for making text fields with autocomplete by making a query directly from bing. The results are in JSON format so it can be used with any programming language that supports JSON.

I do not find any negative aspect for the moment, except that the free version is only 7 days.

It is an excellent tool, whose response capacity is very fast. It has extensive documentation and support from Microsoft, which gives a lot of confidence.

we are trying to implement auto suggest in web applications.

The software is relevant, efficient, and time saving. There are a number of suggestions depending on what the searcher is searching for, such as roads, streets, addresses when searching maps or if searching for words in MS Docs there are a list of suggested words that might work for the author. There are geographic locations, business locations and suggested addresses, and various places that would work in the search. I use the Autosuggest for my searches especially if I am not sure of the spelling or even the name such as a song, I can use common lyrics that will reveal in Autosuggest a list of songs that contain those words. This expedites the search saving many frustrating minutes racking one's brain for the exact title or exact lyrics. The same is true for books, movies, videos, or news.

First, I did not like Autosuggest because more times than not the suggestions did not fit what I was searching for. Then I became more experienced in using this helper, I used specific searches, advising what I was searching for such as names, locations, map addresses distances between locations, title of books, news casts regarding specific events such as floods, fires, air crashes, etc. I found that the Autosuggest really was sensitive to my queries, that there was a certain intelligence at work in the software. Now I use it most times because I use Bing most often.

Better quality in search suggestions as well as more relevant suggestions.

As an educator I use Microsoft Bing Autosuggest AP when developing lesson material that I want to deliver to my students so that I find information that is relevant to the curriculum that I am presenting, such as business classes, social studies classes, economic classes, or fundamentals of computers classes. Students want to apply what they are learning not just be receptors in acquiring lesson material. I find relevant material through Autosuggest that allows the student to apply the lesson, such as worksheets, real life problems that apply to their every day life, or world problems such as climate change or food shortages that have impact on their existence. Through Autosuggest I find lots of information that I possibly would miss without having any input on my searches, this applications enhances my ability to provide my students with effective, efficient, and relevant lesson support to improve their academic success.

Bing Autosuggest API lets you send a partial search query term to Bing and get back a list of suggested queries that other users have searched on. If this is something you need, it's great.

I was lost at first, but there are a lot of tutorials and short help guides that make it easy to figure out if this is something you need.

After the free trial, I realized we didn't really need Bing Autosuggest, which is why I especially like that they have a free 7-day trial, no strings attached (you don't have to input credit card info or anything).

I like the response time that the API returns. It returns some very relevant items in the search.

Sometimes the results are not quite what you would expect. It seems to have problems with dashes and special characters sometimes, but those kind of searches would be few and far between.

I have seen no issue with this product and am very satisfied.

We have been able to make better, more strategic decisions by using the Bing add-in. This has allowed us to get the information about statistics much more quickly and has allowed us to advance our office a good bit.

Nice software and pretty simple and user friendly.

Would like to have more features added like google has.
