This software makes migrating SharePoint content effortless. It's great that the metadata comes with the items and versioning, last editor and last update remains intact. We've used it for years and have always been satisfied.

It solves the problem of migrating data to newer version of a software, which makes it easier to transfer permissions and data from one version to the other without impacting the user

Interface is easy to use, with a classic 2 window style where you can separate your source and your target. There are a variety of connections that can be used, which are important if you want metadata to be saved during the migration. There is also mapping available for fields and users and a lot of other things. The options are easy enough to learn quickly, and the copy modes are intuitive as well so you know what you are trying to copy or migrate.

Migrating to SharePoint Online is really slow. It took a vanilla site of less than 1 GB a full day to migrate. It could be because the connectors being used to connect to the cloud are outdated, but I am not 100% sure.

Content Matrix is a great and easy to use tool for migrations on the on-premise SharePoint environment. It is a great tool for backup and restore as well.
