Easy Integration, Detailed Analytics, Reliable Email Testing, Excellent Customer Support
Limited Email Sending Throughput, Complex API Documentation, Limited Free Trial Features, Lack of Native WordPress Plugin
Users appreciate Mailtrap's ease of use and intuitive interface, making it simple to set up and use. The ability to create multiple inboxes and manage email addresses is a significant advantage. It's also praised for its robust features, including email forwarding, spam filtering, and disposable email addresses. However, some users have reported occasional deliverability issues and limited integration options. Overall, Mailtrap is generally well-received for its user-friendliness, feature-richness, and disposable email functionality.

The most beneficial feature of Mailtrap’s SMTP service is its capacity for reviewing email logs, so I can recognize patterns and modify the campaigns if needed.
It’s impossible to launch any marketing campaigns through this platform.
I was surprised by how quickly the integration process went with the tech team’s help. We’re working with a high number of emails, so it was essential to start sending them immediately.
The documentation is super thorough, well-structured, and easy to follow. Official SDKs and sample codes for API integration are very helpful.
I would like to see more plugins and ready-made integrations to reduce the dev resources.
We’ve been using Mailtrap Email Testing for years and never had any issues. It’s a robust testing tool that has multiple great features apart from capturing your test emails.
So, when Mailtrap came out with a sending solution, we were more than happy to give it a try. Email Sending is also dev oriented, with useful integration options and a bunch of official SDKs.
The UX makes this powerful platform understandable for even the non-tech savvy. From the setup all the way to the features, everything is quick and easy to use. Also, we’ve had some conversations with the support team, and they are all more than helpful.
The platform could definitely be expanded with email marketing and other features, but I assume the Mailtrap team has that already in mind.
Would recommend this platform to small and large teams who want to test and send emails easily as well as stay in the loop with their performance.
Will save you from having to use 2,3,4 different solutions for your email-related tasks.
The alerts, always keep us in the loop about the outgoing emails. Our dev team loves having testing and sending in one place, it speeds up the sandbox-to-production process a lot. The analytics is one of the best I’ve seen, and the same can be said for their support team.
At first, the UI was a bit tricky for the non-dev team members, but they adapted to it faster than expected.
Having tried numerous solutions in the past, Mailtrap stands out with great feature integration and UX.
The standout feature for me is the user experience Mailtrap offers. Having used their testing service for over five years, the shift to their sending functionality was not only user-friendly but also well-structured and trouble-free. A key aspect I must emphasize is the swift and helpful response from their support team whenever we reached out.
Initially, there was a slight complexity in understanding their API, but we were able to grasp it quickly. After overcoming this initial hurdle, everything else worked smoothly and efficiently.
Opting for Mailtrap has provided us with a comprehensive solution for email management. This ranges from effective alert systems to detailed analytics, encompassing all aspects of email handling in a unified approach.
The customer service has been a great help since day one. They answer all our questions quickly and always concentrate on resolving our issues. I also like the fact that they are always adding new SDKs which makes the integration easier.
I would like to see more ready-made integration options with CRMs, e-commerce websites, and other platforms.
We use both solutions of the platform. We use Email Testing to test our emails in staging. It’s been really helpful for identifying the sending issues of the app and testing emails for HTML rendering and spam. Then, we use Email Sending to send our refined emails in prod.
We like the analytics the most. Stats dashboard is comprehensive, and you can quickly drill-down for more data. The mailbox provider report is also helpful. We often use detailed email stats, our QAs love how easy it is to find bugs in emails.
Well, we didn’t like that our sending thoroughput was really limited untill we verified our domains. On the bright side, their support was quick to lift the limit upon request.
Recently, we started to use Email Sending, which has been an incredible decision because we don’t need to constantly monitor the infrastructure. It just works, and if anything happens, there’s a notification.
I like the piece of mind the alerts feature gives me. Nothing worse than fearing a sending issue appearing and my team not knowing about it. That's why we very much rely on the critical alerts. The weekly health status alerts are also useful but more for keeping our performance in check.
Domain verification could be a bit faster, but we have been in contact with the Mailtrap team, and they say it’s something they are constantly working on.
We’re a small team, meaning we don’t have too many hands available to manage lots of different software solutions. For that reason, we really like Mailtrap as it combines testing and sending into one place.
That this platform just keeps growing! We started using Mailtrap when it was just a testing solution, and since then, it has just grown into a place that can handle all our email-sending tasks. It’s safe to say that we were very quick to integrate the email-sending API as soon as it was released and took advantage of the in-depth analytics.
Not really as dislike, but we’d like to see an email marketing feature added soon. It’s a crucial part of our business, and at the moment, we have to use a different platform to send out marketing emails. Kind of a hassle to have to use and pay for multiple platforms for tasks of a similar nature!
With Mailtrap, we’ve achieved a smooth process entailing email testing and sending. It’s also been a major asset in helping us understand and improve our email deliverability which was one of our biggest pain points.
