What are the best aspects of this product?

I like Magento’s scalability, reliablity and coding. The good news are that you can start with small catalogue and extend your products without changing the platform. I’m using it for a decade by now and I’m extremely satisfied with it. Also, I enjoy coding within Magento’s framework because it allows you to extend everything.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

For good performance you’ll need additional plugins.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

It allows me to implement new features without hacking the codes. Stores are secure and I’m able to maintain stores code by using GIT and this is great for external collaborations. Also, native SEO is well managed and it can be essential for most projects because it allows you to add features and some components.

This tool is not perfect for small sized businesses and it is not as user-friendly as it should be. You will need tech-savvy partner for setting up, installation of plugins and configuration. Also, business class hosting is recommended or cloud based hosting with CDN support.

The platform is really easy to use, allows you to sell your products, creating invoices, keep track of payments and allows you to build a front end web, so your customers can buy the products for themselves! saving you time so you can use it for developing more business

some reports in the platform are not so easy to read, it takes a little bit of time to get familiar in this area.

Providing access to the B2B platform to our customers, so instead of spending time creating orders from customers, they can do it for themselves, and you can just use that time to leverage more business development and account management

"Had such a great experience with Magento"

What do you like best?

It has such a diverse range of extensions. We loved working with it and it streamlined or Ecommerce site and usage went up. We do like magento and will be upgrading to Magento 2.0

What do you dislike?

If it gets overloaded it will just stop sending emails. Our Webmaster hasn't figured out exactly why. They are discontinuing Support for this version. it still works for our current needs but We will be forced to upgrade.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I would say stick with this version if it wasnt being aged out. You have until May 2020, Adobe purchased Magento and we are expecting some Adobe-ish type extensions to start appearing.

We have used this for a few years now and as a eCommerce platform it has served all our needs. the extensions have been very useful in expanding the range of the program.

"I really like this Ecommerce Platform a lot"

What do you like best?

This platform is so versatile. The open source extensions have worked out very well for us. Its been stable. It is easy to navigate. Our customers have loved it form the moment we switched over.

What do you dislike?

Security patches are about to end. An Upgrade to 2.0 will be mandatory. This has lead us to look into different platforms to see if there is another suited better for our needs.

Hopefully the features in 2.0 will offset the cost of migration.

This was a great Ecommerce platform. I wish they would continue with support so I didn't have to migrate up.
