I have used legalzoom for the startup of my LLC when I opened a restaurant

Very easy to use and it guides you through every step to insure that documents are filled out correctly

Not something I would use for legal services that are very in depth or involved

Great prebuilt online forms that auto populate the areas needed. It guides you through every detail and forms are legally binding.

I just got off of LegalZoom site I was looking at their prices to get my daughter Boutique registered soon. Their prices seem reasonable and not that expensive I think I will let LegalZoom do all my paperwork for her business

I liked the best the way the website is set up and it’s easy to navigate. I like how you can chat with them to get help.

I used LegalZoom to register my nonprofit from incorporation at the state level through the 501c3 application (which was approved). They now act as my registered agent.

It is convenient and straight forward. Prices are clear and up front as well. It really simplified my needs when I didn't know where to start.

I can't say that I disliked anything in what I have used them with so far.

It takes a bunch of the guesswork out of starting a business. They offer everything that you might need to start your company and get it filed. There are step-by-step instructions to get you started if you are a novice.

Some of the options can be a little confusing. There are also many different things that Legal Zoom is going to try and upsell you on. You may think that you have to use what they are offering if you are not careful.

It allowed me to create my LLC, file the information with the state, and provide all of the paperwork I needed to get started. Their advocacy program saves so much time and aggrivation.

Fairly inexpensive and quick service for the most part. Nothing great about it, but it met our needs.

Nothing really jumps out as a major issue, but the interface looks like it hasn't been updated in 15 years.

There may be cheaper, faster, or sleeker options out there but LegalZoom is a solid option.

Very easy and smooth process to do many business and legal documents. Has nice web interface to access your documents later.

They can be pricey when you start stacking many services, some that are pretty unnecessary. They use scare tactics to get you to purchase additional services that you can find for free or cheaper, but it's just faster to use LegalZoom at that moment.

Easy and inexpensive. It is good if you want to keep costs down.

It is not an actual lawyer. So - you have to be sure that you are interpreting correctly. If you have a larger project - you need a real lawyer.

LegalZoom has decent forms and a generally decent outline of legal process, though you really need to ensure that the info is accurate and up to date for your state. You should also really seek review of any documents you print before filing them- unintended consequences can have extreme consequences

Printable/fillable forms that work very well. The "help" explanations are also very helpful for those not familiar with the legal system, though it troubles me a bit because it could be construed (in some circumstances) to be akin to legal advice.

That you have to pay for the forms that are otherwise typically available at no charge through the judiciary website. I also worry with sites like this that it creates false hope and expectations for people when they read something online and the judicial system does't function as described or intended- a common theme in courts across the country. I know there are disclaimers and such, but having a video to really emphasize that courts have particular rules and practices and such would make the point more clear for those who aren't familiar with the functioning (or dysfunction!) of the legal system

Be sure to verify the forms meet your needs for your particular state- there may have been updates to the rules, requirements, or forms

I find the notices from LegalZoom extremely valuable, as they remind me when something needs to be filed. I appreciate the user-friendliness of creating legal documents and the confidence it gives me knowing they are written correctly.

I find the pricing of LegalZoom to be a drawback, as I would prefer a reduction in cost. This aspect is something I would like to see improved in their services.
