I have used Lectora since version 12, and I find it to be highly effective for creating interactive eLearning content. Its powerful authoring tools allow for extensive customization, while the responsive design ensures compatibility across different devices. The user-friendly interface simplifies course creation, and it integrates seamlessly with Learning Management Systems (LMS) for tracking learner progress. Additionally, Lectora supports multimedia elements like videos, audio, and animations, which enhance engagement and overall effectiveness.

Lectora updates can sometimes cause problems with the process. They are also relatively expensive and require annual renewals. Although they support LMS integration, some users may experience issues with certain LMS platforms or require additional configuration. Responsive designs are available, but content needs to be changed manually. Additionally, using the platform on mobile devices is still not stable. If a glitch occurs, it may take a long time for it to be reflected.

This product is so easy to use. Very intuitive and so flexible to fit all of our needs! The ability to quickly capture snips of the actual system that we were training on was so helpful. Then we were quickly able to incorporate them.

I have yet to find anything that I'm not happy with!

Use the trial version first and test out the software. We were very impressed.

Bringing certified training to over 90,000 learners. The benefits of Lectora are many. No programming skills are required but can be useful. The software has really grown through the years and now offers game templates and multiple characters through eLearning bros.

Since my own early experiences up to my introduction to Lectora Inspire 16, I have seen Trivantis make numerous measurable improvements to the software based on user feedback, always striving to improve, even where they do not necessarily need to make improvements - when they saw an opportunity to make some function better, they did.

The learning curve notwithstanding, Inspire is versatile enough to be able to handle varying builds, depending on need. From simple quizzes, to complex user-navigated courses with multiple tracks, Inspire has the functionality to make the process seamless and smooth for the user - and mostly hassle-free for the developer.

While the program is amazing, and capable of any number of functions, it does have a learning curve. This curve can appear daunting to the uninitiated and prevent them from exploring the system further than they are required to for the build they are trying to achieve. I have heard many comparisons to Adobe's programs, the argument being that Adobe's learning curve is easier.

While I understand this argument, I propose that Adobe's learning curve is easier only because there is not nearly as much one might be able to learn and do when compared to Inspire.

Lectora is extremely flexible and powerful that allows you to build anything. It's new interface is easy to use and added much need image editing tools. In combination with Camtasia and SnagIT Lectora truly is a very powerful authorware tool.

I dislike the image editing functionality which basically requires you to use an external editing software for images.

Be patient - it may be hard to learn at first but this most certainly is the most powerful tool.

I build all online learning content. One of our main priorities is 508 compliance which Lectora completely solves for.

It's easy to use and navigate. It's easy to learn and create course with.

Lectora is best for page content and the variable system is really nice. It makes it easy to make complicated menus that highlight when you're on the page/have visited, etc.

Adding time stamps to video is really cumbersome. The video player always takes forever to load and sometimes it freezes and you lose your work.

Lectora is great. I highly recommend it, especially if you are planning to make advanced custom navigation and interfaces.

We create online training for corporations.

It doesn't take long to learn Lectora and get yourself rolling. You can have no design background and use the custom design features or use outside software to make yourself a really nice looking course. LMS integration is easy. Adding external HTML is easy. The amount of variables you can interact with is like no other software out there.

Developers have told me the output code is a bit sloppy. The updates are sometimes not so much about features, but about improved UI and buttons. I'd rather the software improve than just get a new interface design. Some clients are leary about the cost of Lectora compared to other software.

I have been using Lectora since 2007 and each evolution is just better and better. This has every bell and whistle possible and has twice been associated with awards for innovation in training. In Truth nothing compares to it. I was able to make the testing adaptive to the learner very much in the same spirit of the GRE. The questions would get harder based on response of the student. That took some cleaver patchwork but to the user it worked as needed.

Cost. Lectora is the best and it costs the most hands down. I wish I could have a private license but I like my limbs still attached. There is a bit of a learning curve with each evolution but that is to be expected with software, I like that even when I took two years away from the platform I was able to get back into it without much of a struggle or downed productive time.

I say I don't know because I am not behind the curtain however, it works great for me and my team!

I have been developing online training for 12 years. This is my favorite tool to use. It allows for the highest level of interactivity of any online training. I avoid click exercises like the plague. I wish it was a little more flexible and could work on iphones and what not but truth be told why are people taking training on their phone is beyond me other than it is always with them so when someone is bored in line waiting for the bathroom they could look at their training I guess. Currently in my workplace we are starting up using it again after a painful romance with Camptasia...I compair Camptasia to lectora as one might a Ford Edsel to a Tesla Model X. There is just no comparison. Lectora in the hands of a skilled instructional designer is the best money any training department could spend.

Lectora Inspire is an all inclusive package that truly provides designers an easy-to-use, yet robust software package. What I like best is the simplicity of the interface. I don't have to spend hours upon hours programing how pages will 'work'. Intuitive options allow for easy authoring, allowing me to focus on content design.

Another outstanding feature is the recent addition of eLearning Brothers assets to the offering. Their solutions are high quality and they have excellent support should you run into any issues.

I dislike that FlyPaper and Snap! are no longer part of the authoring software package from Trivantis. Although Inspire and Camtasia provide ample avenues for development, it was handy to have other tools available.
